1. I used to work for the NJ State Police.

I'm for some reason convinced they're all true.

I'm thinking the first is true. Maybe not. it seems overspecific to be a lie.

I want the second to be true, so I am saying it is.

So three must be a lie, as there has to be one lie.

I play the oboe.

On of my distant ancestors ancestors was eaten by cannibals.

I'll say true (though I really hope it wasn't for playing Martha), false (though it's a lovely instrument, it blows your cheeks up like a chipmunk's--OK, if true, though, as it is one of my favorite instruments), true (too weird to be false).

Number 1 sounds true, so I'll say it is. Number 2 is strange enough to be true, but I'll say false because I really want number 3 to be true. (And I want an explanation.)

Eve, my aunt murdered her hubby by spiking his morning coffee with arsenic. Her sentence was commuted to life a while back. ( N.C.) She got away with it until she told her best friend, who turned her in and got her to confess on the phone and the conversation was taped by law enforcement.
