Well, it's a damn good thing that we haven't tried anything different from what we've been doing because of fear and greed and selfishness. Your idea of free speech is that anyone can say any horrid thing they like and anyone who says that they are a horrible person for saying such things are shutting down their free speech. It's the same argument you use for not saying a thing to BusyDummy, JamesBRacist, etc. when they go on racist tears.

But freedom of speech protects you from the government shutting you down and silencing you. It does not protect you from other people practicing their right to free speech in denouncing your blatant bigotry.

You're perfectly free to say whatever horrible racist, misogynist, and hateful things you want, and everyone else is perfectly free to call you out for it. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from social consequences except in your mind.
