Similarly with a lot of business as well though.. for years companies have maximised everything, wrung the last % of profit form their offer /service /product etc.. and it leaves no room to adjust or allow for the unforeseen.... hence why shortly many companies will vanish and hit the wall due to the aftermath of the lock down... lack of money, finance and confidence...

Morning all, interesting soap boxes along the way, I wonder how many I can join in on, the world is going to hell in a handcart and the cost is falling on those least able to afford it... again. The NHS was shafted by the same party that is relying on it, when they wanted money to pay professionals properly they were told to cut beds and costs and become efficient and ... gosh, shit, we need you all now, please come out of retirement to help us as we don't appear to have enough people or beds or....

At least the air is cleaner and we already hit this years carbon reduction target!

My SO works in healthcare, not for the NHS, but manages a residential home for the elderly (no, I did not marry her thinking about my future), so far she hasn't lost any of the "inmates", except one, who had to be taken to the QEII in King's Lynn for a broken ulna, and never came out as she caught Covid 19 in hospital.

As for the cleaner air I am surprised, I have been smoking 4 times the amount of tobacco I normally do when able to go to work.
