Must mention: watched four movies today, including Stage Beauty. Billy Crudup=PHWOAR.

Quote: 'do you know the five positions of female subjugation?' and then proceeds to do them. It's ballet-style, nothing dodgy but he's so effortlessly feminine, yet chiselled masculine. It does things to ya. The 'sex' scene is sorta...warping. The constant questions, everything. Clever. 'am I the man or the woman?' etc. Good movie. Also saw The Notebook. Weepie or what. Wimbledon = rather bad, but I do love tennis so... but Stage Beauty is so good.. man, why can't there really be people like Kynaston?? True, emotional minefield but whatever..

The past few days have been spent snuggly at home, where all bumping and grinding is done in person and without intervening keyboards, etc.

Christmas here was good, if cold (barely reached 10 deg. F on Christmas eve). Snow storm passed to our south and east, left us clear. Lots of food, friends in from out of town, the obligatory new cardigan sweater for me and earrings for my wife. (I like all the sweaters I get, but I've run out of drawer space and must begin getting rid of some of them; doesn't seem to be quite the same storage problem with jewelry....)

I'm back at work today, and am wasting time here instead of stoking the engine of the economy. No plans for New Year's Eve, yet.
