Really dumb question here to the UK folk:

In the Queen's English -- is there a distinction in spelling between:

First thing in the AM (morning here in the states) and
Grieving (mourning here)?

I understand the humor/humour, rumor/rumour thing but never knew about this.

TY. :)

Fathom, the spellings you quoted are identical to how we brits use the words
Morning is morning ie am
and mourning is mourning (grieving)
Hope that helps :)

*throws board eraser at the disruptive Zuke at the back of the class*

Gray is a unit of ionizing radiation equal to an absorbed dose at a joule per kilo. :D
Grey is a colour :p
Its just you yankees that choose to spell the colour as the other!

I'd turn gray if anyone ionized my joules, I'll say that.

Did you just make that up? I don't know whether I'd be more impressed if you knew the science or if you can ad lib that well.

Actually, I've never figured out how to spell the name of that that black/white blend -- I switch back and forth on how I spell it.

I was begining to wonder if this thread had dried up and blown away. We ought to get a double-silver-dingus from Plas for not posting two days in a row.

GRRAAAAAAARRRR!!!!!!

Who awakes me from my slumber? Pity all the mortals who dare to suggest I be given the double-silver-dingus award! I shall use all of my mighty powers to level the planet unless I can;t be arsed to do so! (which I can't)

The double-silver-dingus award is for one day, not two :p

No, not really. :D

Being half-dragon though I usually wake up with a roar. Plus, my day can't be going as bad as the MI6 agent I captured earlier. Right now my death ray is taking care of him. (finally got the parts, thanks for asking.)

Soon the world and all its riches will be mine!

of course I'll have to do something about all the unwanted tenents. :D

Well, Mi6 is still sending agents (foolish mortals! Mwahahahahaaaa!!) Dubya Bush wanted to nuke me but i'm holding his favorite teddy bear for protection and the army grows every day (except for the ones the MI6 agents kill, dammit, i'm going to have to make accuracy training mandatory. You'd have thought someone could at least point the gun in the right direction!!)

Oh and the Death Ray is up and running. But I've still got to iron out a few kinks. Yesterday I eliminated an agent and all I wanted to do was cut him in too, turns out the beam was too high and caused him to turn to ash. MI6 are REALLY going to be impressed with a box of ash being sent to them. I was hoping for a limb or a head to be left. At least half a face. THAT would make an impact at least.

Anyway I'm rambling and my incompetent right-hand man needs firing....

...out of a cannon, point blank into a wall of spikes, coated in itching powder.

I DO NOT TOLERATE FAILURE!
