Unexpected Love

Kia laughed and said " I dont mind if you crash on my couch tonight. Its really late and im sure its a far walk. " she said sitting back comfortable as the movie started. She was glad nick had gotten comfortable and was relaxed in her home. It wasnt often she got guest and ahe was glad he decided to stay. She had gotten them two cups or hot cocoa deciding to skip popcorn because they had just eaten. She put cinnamon I hers because it was her favorite.

Nick sat back on the sofa with the hot cocoa that Kia gave to him. He was a little surprised when Kia had said that it was okay for him to crash on her sofa considering how soon it was since her breakup at the wedding. He thought she would not want to give anyone the impression that she wanted to be seeing anyone or even to be seen as having a guy spend the night at her place. He watched the movie; periodically glancing at Kia out of the corner of his eyes.

Kia sipped the cocoa watching the movie smiling and really interested. She hadn't thought shed be sitting in her apartment with a new and hot nice guy who saved her from kicking the bucket and was really cool literally 5 days after her wedding. Normally people would say shes lost it or she was replacing James but it was nothing like that. She felt comfortable and relaxed around Nick and he was a really good guy. She had no problem spending time with him in fact when he was around she wanted him to stay. She noticed him watching her from time to time and gave him a small smile " So do you like the cocoa?"

He watched the movie with Kia....continuing to glance in her direction. He was pretty sure that she caught him a couple of times as he looked over at her. "Yes, the cocoa is very good. Thank you. I must tell you though that I am enjoying the company Moore than the movie and the cocoa. I I feel very comfortable just sitting here with you."

Kia smiled and set her cup down and said " Same here Nick. Your a very good guy and I really like you being here with me" she said and turned looking at him. She looked at his handsome face and smiled. She didn't know why womennin this city didn't swarm to a hot guy like this. If they knew how caring he was theyd be around the block. She shivered a bit feeling a chill from the window and decided to get a sheet for them. It was big enough to cover them both and give them space to be comfortable.

Nick smiled at Kia as she looked at him. She was beautiful, and he could not understand what her former fiancée was thinking when he dumped her at the wedding. It didn't make sense. He was glad she was okay, because she didn't deserve to be harmed. Her ex, however, he deserved to be hurt.

He pulled the sheet around him when she laid it across them. He was trying to be careful because he didn't want to be seen as doing something that she was not open to. He made sure that he kept his hands folded in his lap so that he did not accidentally touch her.

Kia smiled and snuggled under the covers comfortably after a while she began to snuggle against him unconsciously as she watched the movie. She saw henwas being a gentleman and keeping his hands on his lap to avoid contact in the beginning but she didn't mind cuddling it made her feel comfortable.

She saw the movie about to end and switched it to the other moving back under the covers afterward.

Nick watched Kia get up and switch movies and then come back and snuggle into him under the sheet. It was becoming very clear that she wanted him to spend the night since it was already late, and they were just now going to start another movie. He couldn't say that he objected to it. He was enjoying her company and he liked the way that she was snuggling. He kept his hands to himself, though.

Kia watched the movie comfortable against Nick. She wanted him to hold her but shenhadnt wanted to seem needy or desperate. She lay against his arm watching the movie "The haunting which was scary and made her move closer to him. She was a bit afraid but she could only watch scary movies if someone was with her.

Nick was not a fan of scary movies, but he was willing to watch it because Kia wanted to. Kia was snuggled in with her arm wrapped around Nick's, and he enjoyed the closeness. He was tempted to wrap his arm around her and hold her close, but he was not sure how she would take that. He was attracted to her, but had only known her for five days, and he was not certain about how she felt about him.

Kia kept glancing away from the movie and realized she wasn't realky watching much at all in fact she realized he wasn't either. She looked up at him and giggled and said " Maybe we could choose another why dont you go pick one?" She said referring to the movie. Theyre on a shelf as soon as you hit my bedroom. She said moving away so he could get up comfortably.

Nick got up and moved toward Kia's bedroom. He looked around and found the shelf with all of the DVDs on it. "How do you feel about a comedy?" He said to Kia as he looked at all of he he videos. He really didn't care what they watched. He was just happy it gave him an excuse to spend more time with her.

Kia smiled and said " Sure Comedy is fine Nick" she said heading to the kitchen to refill their coca mugs. It didn't really matter to her what they watched as long as he was there with her.

Nick looked through her collection and found Old School. He picked it out and took it back to the living room. He liked the movie and it was really mindless humor. He put it in the DVD player and sat back down on the sofa. He watched as Kia returned from the kitchen with more cocoa. He held the sheet back so she could get under it and then covered them both with it. He took the cup from Kia as the movie began.

Kia slipped back beneath the covers relaxing against the couch and smiled as the movie began . He chose an old Jim Carey film and she grinned because it was ine of her favorites "Nice choice" she said sipping her cocoa.

Nick leaned over toward Kia as she sat down. Even though he liked the movie, he really wasn't paying much attention to it. He let it play and semi-watched it as he drank the cocoa that she made for him. He was very comfortable with Kia and he thought about how crazy the circumstances were that brought him to this place, and soon he would be going on a trip with her.

Kia smiled laughing at the movie and watching him from time to time. She was really enjoying herself and was comfortable with Nick there. She noticed him yawn and said " Hey are you tired?"

"I am a little tired but I can make it through the movie. I don't want to interrupt it, and it is almost over anyway." He looked over at Kia and smiled. "Unless of course, you want to call it a night. If that is the case, I am fine with turning the movie off and going to sleep."

Kia smiled and shook her head " I think I can stick it out for a bit more" she said and giggled. " This is one of my favorites actually" she said and grinned.

"Good. I am glad I picked something that you like. I like it too. It seems that we have something in common when it comes to taste in movies. I am not sure whether that is good taste or bad taste, but it is something we share. ". He smiled at her and then turned back to the movie. "Okay, I'll shut up now and watch the rest of the. Movie."

Kia smiled and watched the movie again seeing they had a common taste in movie " There is a new movie coming out if you want to go see it Nick" she said smiling hoping he would. " Maybe we could see it before we go catch our flight." She said.

"Oh, are you asking me out on a date, Kia?" He laughed a little as he looked over at her. "Sure, I would like going to the movies with you. It will give us some time together before we head to Fiji. Maybe we will get to know each other a little better before we spend all of that time together."

Kia smiled and said " Hey im only asking if you are" she giggled " I dont have a problem with getting to know you more before we head to Fiji Nick. I like hanging out with you I feel comfortable. "

"Relax Kia. I was teasing you. I would like to go to the movies with you. Even if we were not going to Fiji, I would still like to go to the movies with you. I enjoy your company. You are a nice person and you are easy to talk to. Even though you aren't supposed to talk through the movies." The movie ended. He looked at Kia. "I think that is enough movies for tonight though."

Kia looked at the movie realizing it had stopped and giggled " I guess your right because we didn't even watch that one much" she grinned . She stood and stretched standing up from the couch and said " Ill go grab some pillows for you ok?"
