Hope had known Stark for what feels like forever, he was a very cool guy. But he seemed to hide things from her, but everyone had skeletons in there closest. They were very close friends, and he actually lived in a huge mansion. But what she didn't know was he was the king, the father of vampires. The very first and the oldest, most powerful.

She went over to his home, since it was his birthday. She was eighteen and she thought he was the same age, she had a gift in her hands as she pushed his door bell and waited for him.

Stark walked to the door and grinned as he opened it. He took her hand and kissed it.

"You look beautiful, Hope, I'm so glad your here", he said grinning.

She smiled happily looking at him kindly, as he kissed her hand. She shut the door behind her and removed her jacket, hanging it up. "I got you something, it's not much but since it's your birthday" She said kindly and handed it to him. Inside it was a gold watch, on the back of the watch it said "I will always be by your side love Hope" She hoped the inscription wasn't stupid.

Stark grinned at her and pulled her into his arms hugging her. He looked at her, and there was tension in the air. He wanted to kiss her, but blushed slightly and looked away, holding her close still.

She smiled as he held her, but then he blushed looking away. She wondered why he was looking away, like he was ashamed about something. "Stark what's wrong?" She said softly, she knew he liked the gift but something else was up.

Stark kissed her softly yet deeply, he had loved her for some time now. He pulled away and looked at her wondering what she thought of it.

She was taken back by the kiss, Hope was taken back by it. But her shocked look turned into a smile, she walked over to his couch and sat down. "Why didn't you tell me your feelings for me?" She said softly.

He sat next to hers and smiled at her.
"I wanted to be sure you cared for me, dear."
He kissed her again softly.

She watched him, sit down beside her and smiled to what he said. But then he kissed her again, the shock not there any more as she rested her hand on his cheek. Kissing him deeply.
