Unusual story

I'm creating what I think is an unusual story. It's an outdoor voyeur story, what makes it unusual (and challenging) is the person who is telling it isn't identified by gender. I'm trying to create a story where anybody, male or female, might be able to imagine themselves in this person's place. A little grammar help, plot suggestions, and some help in making it a truly non gender specific story.

I have an E&V story where the narrator has no specified gender. The only problem I encountered was having to use "rubbing" as a generic term for masturbating. Then again, it's a creepy stalker story, so I'm not sure many readers want to identify too closely.
