That's Breitbart, you idiot.
So give me dates.I told you, the MEU has only been underway for a day or to. It will take a week or so to get to the area of operations
Got itOkay. I didn't hear that. I did hear the initial estimate and qualification.
They closed the straight because they were attacked. They've been killing Americans for almost 50 years. In the 1980s, Iran repeatedly threatened to close the strait in moments of tension (around 2011–12 and again in 2019 over sanctions), but those were diplomatic threats, not actual sustained closures. There have been very limited temporary closures tied to military exercises or live‑fire drills (e.g., brief cuts to navigation for safety reasons), but none were full, long‑term closures. Now they have said they have threatened to mine the Straits, and they have attacked tankers and have tried to sink them in recent days. They have always been a problem for safe travel in the international waters through the Strait.
So give me dates.
This time, but they have no right to close the strait for any reason. It's international waters. They have been at war with us for 50 years.Got it
They closed the straight because they were attacked.
Name them. They've been killing Americans for almost 50 years.
Start dateIt left Japan in the 13th of March.
I'm not defending their closure. This time, but they have no right to close the strait for any reason. It's international waters. They have been at war with us for 50 years.
Start date
End date
How difficult is this for you?
I think you need to be a bit more fair in your expectations, "the fog of war."I'm not defending their closure.
I'm criticizing the administrations poor leadership and planning to prepare for it.
So you expect that this will be limited, but that could mean forever or a few weeks. What the hell are you talking about? It will take a week or so just to get there to do whatever task it's presumed to be asked to do. . Its logistical tail, once it arrives, is about 15-20 days before resupply will be needed. I don't know what its operational orders are or what it will be tasked to do. It could be used for more than just killing people and seizing property. It could have a humanitarian mission. It could be a mission to secure the defense of the island's oil infrastructure. The island is about 8 square miles with 16 miles of shoreline. That's a stretch for 1500 Marines. Maybe that's why they're plugging in the Airborne troops as well. I don't know when they will arrive.
No I don't. There are very clear indicators of extremely poor planning resulting in putting our troops at risk without proper care for their risks and safety.I think you need to be a bit more fair in your expectations, "the fog of war."
…
We see the emerging objective now. Keeping the Strait open and assuring the free flow of oil to the international community.
Don't ever link Breitbart again.
It’s a little rich to act like this is a sudden betrayal when the U.S. and Iran have been in a decades‑long cycle of hostility ever since 1979, with embassy seizures, proxy wars, and attacks on American forces long before this latest flare‑up. Iran’s actions have cost U.S. lives and targeted U.S. interests repeatedly, and its nuclear ambitions have been a point of strategic confrontation for years. So if anyone thinks you can neatly blame “the war” on one side after 50 years of mutually reinforced antagonism, that’s a pretty cute fairy tale; real history is messier and a lot older than today’s headlines.Given it was the US attack on Iran that led to the strait being closed in the first place, it’s only fair the US assume the risk and responsibility of reopening it. Easiest way would be to stop bombing Iran, but I suspect that level of strategic thinking is beyond the mental capacity of the retards running the US currently.
Fuck off with that BS. The NY Times article is linked in the article. Why don't you read it and then respond to actual facts presented? What's the problem? Are you tired or just overweight and lazy?Don't ever link Breitbart again.

The point is that anyone who even LOOKS at Breitbart on the assumption anything worth taking seriously will be found there is a worthless subhuman animal with zero credibility, AND YOU KNOW IT.Fuck off with that BS. I disagree. Even in war, one side cannot bomb first, demand evidence of innocence from the other side and when pushed mildly by our lapdog media, apologize later arguing “fog of war”. To put it mildly, get the fuck out of here with that shit. The claim that there was “no military operation attached to that school” is a conclusion that requires evidence.
you know, I actually accept the excuse that a targeting map hadn't been updated in 10 years. The Republican Guard or whatever its called outgrew the facility and a girls school took its place. That's horrible, just goes to show that war iss a brutal business. The US has entered a war on the whim of an eighty year old with soup for brains. The Iranian regime was in a weak position with its economy and internal dissent and receptive to a negotiated settlement. If the US had sent seasoned negotiators rather than a real estate agent and Trump’s fucking son-in-law we likely wouldn’t be in this mess. If Trump hadn’t torn up the original Iranian agreement out of childish spite for Obama we wouldn’t be in this mess.
From the European perspective the US is an untrustworthy rogue state that should no longer be supported or tolerated.
When you replace evidence with insults and start calling people “subhuman,” you've already admitted you can’t win the argument. Normal, well-adjusted grown-ups challenge claims; they don’t panic at the mere existence of a website they dislike. Your performative outrage says far more about the weakness of your position than it does about anyone else’s reading habits. The point is that anyone who even LOOKS at Breitbart on the assumption anything worth taking seriously will be found there is a worthless subhuman animal with zero credibility, AND YOU KNOW IT.
Give us a source for this information.you know, I actually accept the excuse that a targeting map hadn't been updated in 10 years. The Republican Guard or whatever its called outgrew the facility and a girls school took its place. That's horrible, just goes to show that war iss a brutal business.
What I want to know is ....WHO gave the order for the SECOND cruise missile to fire 40 minutes later that killed all the people trying to help dig any survivors out of the rubble?

Your hate for the President fogs your view of reality. Your application of a microscopic thought process to a telescopic problem doesn't help you in seeing it either. So you expect that this will be limited, but that could mean forever or a few weeks.
Got it.

The strait could've been secured as a first objective.
Americans in the region could've been evacuated prior to the initial strike or, at the very least, we could've had planes there ready for evacuations.
Our allies should've been involved from the beginning so that they would either assist OR had the chance to also evacuate their citizens.
Air America could've still existed to promote alternative leadership to opposition
The thing is, I know that our troops are the very top echelon of military in the world and, when given effective and sufficient plans to execute, they deliver.
Our administration still hasn't given a clear objective and continues to blame others for it....it's pathetic and incompetent
But I know you dipshits love that things go splodey....so obviously it's good![]()
I'm explaining exactly what is happening and what they are saying.Your hate for the President fogs your view of reality. Your application of a microscopic thought process to a telescopic problem doesn't help you in seeing it either.
What do our Middle Eastern allies say about it? Do you even factor that in?
I admit mine are assumptions. That's the difference. Your hate precludes any understanding of reality.I'm explaining exactly what is happening and what they are saying.
You're the one making assumptions about things you believe to be true.
