Us and Israel attack Iranian regime

It won't convince a world that's already waiting on another false narrative about Trump just so they can say gotcha.
If Trump allows Iran to control the Strait of Hormuz and use it as leverage to constrain global oil supply, as they have repeatedly threatened and are actively doing, he knows he will own the consequences. This isn’t theoretical; roughly 20% of the world’s oil flows through that chokepoint, and disruptions have already sent prices surging and shipping to a near standstill. If that artery of global energy remains under coercive control, the economic fallout, higher fuel prices, inflation, and global instability will be laid squarely at his feet. Because at that point, it won’t be about what Iran did, it will be about what he allowed.

On the other hand, BEFORE Trump started this (or before Netanyahu dragged Trump into it) the Strait of Hormuz wasn't blocked, was it?

Trump doesn't need to seize Karg to accomplish that.

That's a reason to put more effort into it, not less. Trump killing the wind farms on the Atlantic coast out of pique is a bit of a contrast to the Chinese investment in clean energy, don't you think?
You cannot get enough power from wind. Remember the T. Boone Pickens wind farm? Remember when your party (including the Kennedys) got offshreo wind farms banned because they'd upset the view?

Nuclear is the answer.

"My party"? It's not "my party"! As for it not being "enough," consider what's being done in places not run by Donald Trump:

Wind power became the UK’s leading source of electricity generation in 2024, accounting for 30% of the total energy output, and surpassing all other sources for the first time, according to the National Energy System Operator (NESO).

The UK has around 1/10 of our population, if that.
The fact that you can't even get that number right leads me to think you're not to be believed about wind power.

The area of the USA is almost 40 times the area of the UK. The population of the USA is less than five times that of the UK. Wind (and solar) power could do well in the USA (and is doing well in Texas!).

Tell me how he might have more leverage in obtaining Iranian compliance and preventing their historic intractable obstinacy.

He doesn't need any more leverage over Iran. Currently we're dominating the sky and with Israel's help, decimating the leadership class with strategic strikes.

What Trump needs is more leverage over the chickenshit NATO allies who are refusing to help. Getting them the oil they need does that. Seizing and restricting that oil makes the situation worse.

The part that PISSES me off is that the neighboring nations whom Iran has attacked without cause or provocation aren't doing shit to protect their people/infrastructure. Fucking cowards the whole lot of them. All they can do is rattle sabres and make boasts based on past heroic achievements of their ancestors. Ancestors whose bones are so old they turned into dust centuries ago. Which tells you how long those fuckers have been bamboozling everyone about their "might and prowess."

The Saudi's purchasing billions on fighter aircraft does leave one curious. I am assuming a ~year was not time enough for Lockheed or Gruman to produce the stealthy tools. Against drones it looks like they need helicopters and small defensive drones.

Why would NATO help? They weren't consulted or advised. And dear leader has been shitting on the alliance every chance he gets.

AND he just gave Russia billions of dollars.

The middle east has an armada which, combined, is about equal to many European nations. Yes it's outdated and easily outmatched compared to our military, but compared to Iran's military, it's futuristic.

What they NEED is a pair of balls to actually back up what they've been claiming for years.

I think Trump is not worth much on this side of the pond after all the offensive things he said about us.
We just don’t care anymore.

It's funny how poorly educated people claim that Iran attacks neighboring countries without cause or provocation.

Iran has never attacked another country since the corrupt Shah was evicted. It's a shame that the US cannot match that record.

Facts may not care about feelings but it seems you don’t care about facts.

Hamas (backed by Iran, Russia, China, etc) committed the greatest act of genocide against Jews since the Holocaust

This is nonsense. The idea that the dominant nation in the region who have de facto control of the Gaza Strip was the subject of an act of genocide is to twist the meaning of the word into a pretzel.

🙄

I know a genocidal attack when I see one…

😑

You also neglected to point out that Hamas was funded and backed by Israel for the decade leading up to the attack.

🙄

Yeah, that never happened: Israel did allow THE FLOW of funds & aid to Hamas (Gaza), but what was the option???

🤔

Between 7 October 2023 and 8 March 2026, the UN's humanitarian affairs office, OCHA, said 1,064 Palestinians were killed in the occupied West Bank, including at least 231 children.’

🙄

Um, "Palestinians" in The West Bank celebrated the genicidal Hamas 10/7 rape, torture, murder, and kidnapping operation. And the popularity of Hamas spiked in The West Bank, with the recruitment of Hamas fighters & operatives soaring in the aftermath…

Much like Hezbollah in Lebanon, the "Palestinians" in The West Bank made their choice to join in the genocidal intifada against Israel (they chose poorly).

😑

The US has no existential threat. It can be subject to a terrorist attack, but it is the primary superpower both economically and militarily. It has no comparable rival. Ironically, the biggest threat to the US economy is the US President.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cqxdndz75zvo?xtor

🙄

You don’t know wtf you’re talking about.

The U.S. is uniquely vulnerable in many ways, and primarily targeted in many ways (and, yeah, DonOld & the MAGAt republicans are NOT helping matters).

😑

We. Told. Them. So.

To the contrary, the Special Relationship goes both ways. Sometimes.
Starmer is an idiot. The others I don't know. Jury is out. If the tariffs are so damning any one of them actually able could say, yea I will join the effort for a different tariff deal.
But their economies are flat and their far left hate Jews more than the arabs taking over their countries by invasion. Re-election is important as socialists. Without their gov funding their lifestyle as the minions suffer they cannot survive.

Starmer has managed to render himself the most irrelevant of all Western leaders.

We’re happy to leave it you guys to sort out the mess you created. Just get thousands of American troops to invade Iran, open the Strait and scour the country for the enriched uranium you’re all so worried about. It’ll be a piece of cake. The rest of us will offer thoughts and prayers. In the meantime, here’s a moral boosting catchy tune for “all yer ‘mericans”

“I wonder why the people of Canada, Japan, UK and Europe as a whole are hostile to joining in on another American misadventure in the Middle East after tariff barriers were suddenly imposed on their economies, their past military assistance denigrated and having received no prior warning or even a cursory consultation over the attack on Iran?”

“It’s a fucking mystery, mate. Baffling. Can’t get my head around the lack of enthusiasm.”

Aside from a rise in oil prices, the U.S. is the country least affected by the close of the Strait of Hormuz - it accounts for about 2% of total U.S. petroleum consumption and 7% of U.S. crude imports. Many other countries are entirely dependent on the Strait being open - China gets over 90% of their oil from there. India, Japan, and South Korea are the other top countries that import this oil. They have a fuckuva lot more at stake than we do.

Yeah, we could legitimately use some help clearing mines, but we'll get by just fine. Trump thinks the nations with the most to lose should be pitching in, but as usual, they count on the Americans to do what's necessary. We'll do it, but we'll remember.
