Please remember that there are TWO varieties of Christians in America today:
  • Dolly Parton Christians ('set the example' 'deeds not words')
  • Jerry Falwell Jr Christians ('the Bible does not specifically condemn boinking the nanny on vacation')

I believe G-d is sending a message to the latter group.

With the passing of President Jimmy Carter, Dolly Parton is now the face of faith-based Christianity.

Two anecdotes from yesterday alone:
  1. The United States Government shut down the medical system in Africa overseeing the distribution of AIDS medication and HIV prep in Africa as part of Elon's DOGE initiative. They took out all networking and communication hardware, a clear indication it's not coming back. Expect a large rise in HIV and AIDS in Africa as a result. But hai, there is no clear advantage to White heterosexual males in this program so no real loss right?
  2. The Trump administration engaged in one of their favorite past times: not paying their contractors. This is maybe humorous when talking about Trump stiffing his hotel's plumbing contractors, not so humorous when talking about government contractors.
    1. Case in point: For two decades, Israel, Saudi Arabia and the United States have captured and imprisoned the worst ISIS terrorists in an ultra-secure prison facility in Syria. The United States pays the salaries of prison guards there....or at least they DID, up until last week. The Trumpian "90-day-freeze" on government contracts. No pay for Syrian prison guards? They won't work for free....they stopped showing up for work. Prison's apparently empty now.
