Valentine's Day 2011 Contest Support Thread

Since the association of independent reader only consists of one person and he's using his alt to post the above, then there is nothing to enter the story in, but it will be in the Official Literotica Valentines Day Story Contest.

Don't be fooled by the fool posting above me. The contest he is speaking of is a fake.

We all know it but I, at least, like that picture featuring the brunette's ass. :p

yes, but any newbie passing through won't know it. Think of it as a public service announcement. And yes the picture is good. It's there to capture attention for scouries and his fake contest.

And it seems to be TxRad's mission to alert the newbies, which I for one was thankful for the heads-up the first time around. :) Although, after a few hours spent on the boards, one can quickly deduce that if one were paying attention. (And with such big-spaced posts, how can one not?). *LOL*

I love when images inspire like that. Goodluck with the story, TxTallTales!

You're welcome. It's a costly job in story scores but it's well worth it.

They say a good picture is worth a thousand words. In erotical it can be worth a whole lot more. ;)

21 pages on one story and 8 on another. It will be interesting to see which finishes first.

I'm still not a hundred percent sure if I'm going to play with this one or not, lol.
Hmmm.. it's probably getting close to the time that I should probably be deciding, isn't it? :p

Still thinking..... :D

Oh, and Hello everyone! Long time no see.

Poor scouries, anything and everything to promote his fake contest. Sorry scouries butt even the newbies know the AIR is all in your head.

Can't have this on page 2, now can we?

Think I may have an idea for this one after all. I was working on something else that didn't quite work for the story, but I think it might just work as a Valentine story.

Just have to see if it fits and I can actually get the thing moving :p

I have one ready except for a final lookover. Working on another but it might be to many chapters or too long for a single submission. We'll see.

Mine's getting a fitful start. If I can ever get the right pace for the awkward meeting phase right, the rest of it should be a breeze :p

Oh and -- Bump!

Submissions start on the 20th, so time's flying by.

I was going good but got stopped by a money paying project that came back on track. I'll just have to get my time stretcher out and make some time.

Page two? Hmmm, not on my watch!

Did I mention that my best friend has a super hot voice? He's amazing! Guess who has joined the RavenFox Audio crew? :D

Look for a Valentine Contest entry as our first duet!

I got distracted from mine -- though that may not be a bad thing. The distraction is another story, so at least I'm still writing. Considering my long dry spells, I can handle coming down to the wire or even missing a contest, so long as I'm writing.

Funny thing is, the inspiration for the other story was a title that hit me out of the blue. Once I was done mulling it over in my head, it had actually morphed into something else, and has a new title. The original title ( slightly modified ) now has a synopsis of its own that will probably go in a different pen name.

At least I have some energy and forward momentum :D

:D Some distractions are better than others. Mine is also another story but mine came from a desktop background I built up.

So help me...

...I've decided to enter this contest after all.
Don't expect to win, mind you, just enter.:heart::heart::heart::heart:

Think mine's finally moving, and working on it has actually given me a better idea for my Earth Day story, too :D

3k words at the moment. Have no idea how long it's going to end up being. I've at least got my two main characters hooked up. Now, I've just got to figure out how to get the relationship in there without ending up half-a-dozen Lit pages.

So, what's the deal here exactly? Can any story with a romance at it's centre be eligible/relevant? Or does it have to involve love hearts, chocolates and the actual holiday?

I think that you'd probably get down-voted pretty badly if you didn't have some direct connection to the holiday, or at least center on some sort of symbolism associated with the holiday ( cupid, for example ) Just being romance doesn't really make it a Valentine's story.

Hell, it's nothing uncommon for people to down-vote stories for things like Aussies putting the upside-down ( to the U.S.) weather in there that actually happens on the date where they are. People post "Valentines/Christmas/NewYears is in winter, stupid!" and vote 1.

Just have to say it happened on our around Valentines Day. It's the theme and should be included. It could be a story where they meet and date for a year and celebrate Valentines Day together.

I have two being edited and neither has candy or hearts but thye do go out for dinner on (you guessed it) Valentines Day. See, not so hard.

Best of luck to you. Don't worry about me, I'll have lots of reads and votes, but I never come close to winning.:)
With respect
