All I have ever said is that the GLBT community was formed to stick together and respect all varieties of the alt spectrum. Furthermore, we are all capable of loving and respecting each other. Oh and btw, we should be nice to new users and each other.

As far as I understand your position, you claim that's impossible. That we aren't really a community but a sad ghetto of gangs engaged in intertribal warfare and hate. Our excuse for our bad behavior towards each other? We are oppressed by the het world, so it's OK to be horrible to each other since we are so twisted by abuse. So get use to ugly.

But I don't accept that we should imitate the Het discrimination and intolerance inside the Alt sexuality community against each other. It's that simple.

The language that has been used here on this thread by Safe_bet and others could have easily come from reactionary social conservatives condemning gay marriage.... They wouldn't even allow that bisexuality is anything but some kind of subhuman sexual abuse unworthy of the GLBT thread.

Fine. Whatever. We are allowed to express our opinions no matter how ignorant or hateful. But don't expect people not to read this thread and judge for themselves and don't expect others NOT to point out this hypocrisy occasionally.

This is my observation after fifty years of living among various queer societies: the groups that have been lumped together under the GLBT umbrella have different needs and those needs are going to bump into each other if we are all crowded too closely together. Some of us can choose to put our needs aside in favor of another groups. Lesbians have notably been caregivers in men's HIV hospices, for instance. And we all work together for political campaigns.

But when it comes to socialising, or choosing preferred partners? A lesbian is not going to chose a man, bisexual, gay, or straight. And this is a social forum, not a clinic, not a group project, nobody's special Mother Theresa ministry-- nothing but a forum on a porn site.

I have to say that I rarely hear women speak in quite the abrasive way that girlsmiley does, and I find myself rooting for her-- simply because she's managed, I don't know how, to get past the "nice girl" socialisation that forces a supportive and understanding role on women-- regardless.

And I think it's pretty fucking necessary, personally-- women will never have the ability to choose to be supportive, unless they also have the ability to choose not. Girlsmiley models that choice for us.

And regardless of what she said on this thread, you can find Pah-Lenty of bisexual, bi curious, and wondering-about-cocksucking threads on the forum. Go post on those in a supportive way. I do!

I've used this thread as a soapbox to stand up against bullies that bash new users who simply came here to have some porno fun. I admit I made an example of the Vanilla Wife Syndrome thread to pick a fight with the single most unattractive feature of LIT --- Sexual intolerance of people that are different by a small group of self-appointed thought police.

Now the poor bullies claim holier-than-thou victim status and that I've become the new meta-troll. I never meant it to come to this.

I've obsessively and doggedly returned here day after day to answer back to piles of abusive language used to conceal lack of substance. But why? After all, we knew from the beginning there is no defense for Safe_bet's abusively telling a new bi-curious LIT member he's a fucking scumbag with a homophobe fetish. No one here has or can defend Safe_bet's hate speech against bi alt sexuality she abhors. Yet I've returned here over and over again to do...what? Rub her face in her own intolerance and sexual confusion?

I've become the brute intolerance I came here to confront.

For that I apologize to Safe_bet, Stella and Girlsmiley for offending their sensibilities and for forcing them to defend the indefensible, which they mostly did by attacking the messenger. What else could they do? Well, I suppose they could have admitted they behaved poorly and that would have been the end of it. But that's not in their nature and who am I to judge that nature?

So I've pushed my point further than it merits simply because I've adopted the same attitude of pigheadness I originally came here to confront. And for that I am sorry. That was wrong.

It's time to get back to what I came to LIT for in the first place, to read and write and revel in the great big world of alternative sexuality.

But can't promise I won't occasionally be politely asking questions in the future on other threads.
