We can bet the CIA has a small army of informants on its voluminous payroll as well.

The problem not that the Admin is not knowledgeable. The problem is that is is not honest, not even by USG standards. If we go to war with Venezuela, nobody who really cares about the drug trade will be involved in that decision -- or has yet been involved in any of the steps leading up to it.

The CIA was never in its history an agency you could rely on to fight drug trafficking. But you could always rely on it to fight Commies.

You forget, Maduro is a U.S. federal fugitive. The reward is the result of a federal grand jury indictment. He is the true fascist. He got 20% of the vote but decided to steal the election instead.

He's an authoritarian. Nobody that far to the left can ever be a fascist. (No, Stalin and Mao and Castro were never fascists.)
