But first a question we need to answer.

What do you guys say to inviting another RPer for the second chapter to play the part of our slayer? We'd need someone familiar with the show for this part, and someone comfortable writing fightscenes as well as the humor.

Clever throwing his rifle away. Holt will be sorely tempted at literally stabbing Vincent in the back, and getting rid of the rifle will make it difficult for him to do that.

Well right now we have options with Holt.

Lucien turning him as we discussed or conversely just devising some fitting way for him to be killed off.

I still have a few tricks up my sleeve for Lucien, but we are heading to the climax of this chapter.

I also like Asa's idea of a revolt of some of Lucien's childers. I think we can use that.

As for Holt, I had kind of an odd idea that might work. What if Vincent crippled him, like paralysis of the legs, and dumped him in a hospital. Vincent would like that, leaving his enemy helpless, unable to chase them but also alive and suffering.

The slight twist there could be that Holt doesn't remain bitter and vengeful and instead tries to regain his humanity. That way we could have a way to reintroduce him later if necessary. Maybe something from Vincent's little speech to him could resonate once he's not in the heat of battle all the time, I just think him getting some redemption would really piss off Vincent.

I just came up with that idea for Holt because 1) somewhere inside of me there lurks a creature who enjoys happy endings and 2) because in a world where twists are somewhat commonplace, like Whedon's work, having a straight ending is actually a bigger surprise.

Actually the expected end for Holt would be for him to die trying to kill the four of them or succeed and then as vincent so eloquently put it swallow that baretta of his.

But I agree the Whedon twist and the more satisfying end would be to make him have a happy ending.

So its unanimous then, guys?
