Veroe's OOC thread.

Great character bio Luna, very....haunting...I suppose is the only word for it. Coudos.:)

Because I see her as chaotic and very dark, damned near insane, I don't think she will be very helpful in building a plot...she responds. Even in the series, Druscilla didn't plot, not really...she responded.

That is how I plan to write Ondine.

So whatever the more sane one's plan...just let me know, I will MAKE her fit...

And Veroe I am glad you like her...I wanted the darkness, the voices, to make sense...and I used most of Dru's power's to do so...

Like the show there'll be a power of control issue between Vincent and Jericho over Ondine.

I agree that Dru wasn't too much into the planning...and reactive usually. And its a smart move to try and keep that in Ondine. But Luna that doesn't mean you should take a backseat in our plotting here. If you see an oppurtunity for us to amp the story to 11 tell us.

No worries, when that happens, I will be sure to jump up and down, while waving around my china dolly and screaming...

"me, me, me" til someone pays attention.

Just for the initial start up? I can not imagine Ondine doing much more than needful. Starting trouble is fun...but watching other's start it is even better. And if Ondine can add a bit of a hitch to the best well laid plans? That is the utter bestest.

Okay we've got our characters formed, and I have a starting point in mind, and we even have preliminary ideas to pursue. Is there any more railroad track to lay down before we get this freight train moving?

Very nice bio Luna :)

Nothing springs to mind Veroe, but if inspiration strikes I'll be sure to let everyone know.

Very cool Bio Luna.

Thanks...I am just trying to get up to par with the rest of you...:rose:

I can't think of anything...but you have my word that if I have a thought...*oh squirrel* I will interject!

So the question becomes where exactly do we want to start? Just after the attack, before, already en route?

Good question...I was going to start it after the poisoning, but if you guys feel we should start before then we can do that.

Either way works for me maybe open during the attack and once he has managed to poison her then suddenly the hunter runs from the battle. Though with what I remember and Luna can I think help here the Vampire blood poisons from VtM were not instantaneous they actually didn't really "go critical" till after the vampire tried to feed moving the blood around in their system?

This is true...for the most part. It is the same thing with Vamps who have an addiction...doesn't catch em til after the feeding...so the poisoning works along the same lines...much worse if one uses the blood for speed or whatever.

Since we aren't using V:tM rules though, I just assumed it would be whatever way makes sense for the story line. In this case the poisoning wouldn't really slow your character down at first...but the longer she went without feeding or if she tried to put on a burst of speed or some such~ the worse the poisoning would get.

A slow acting poison would make sense, seeing as I don't think Lucien actively wants to kill Karena.

The tweak I was thinking was her trying to feed and it causing physical pain to drink or causing a darker almost charred color to the skin or her feeling like she is dying all over again.

*nods* makes sense

Ohhh damn...that is harsh...but sounds really cool...

Sorry I haven't been around guys. Having to do overtime this weekend at work, and I am beat right now. so I won't be able to get this off the ground tonight like I had hoped.

I'll kick it off as soon as I can either tomorrow or tuesday.

In the meantime let's talk title. I can't think of anything to call the thread other than fangsome foursome which would be extremely lame if that's what we use.:(

Okay I'm working on the kick off now guys. In the meantime M13 gave me some suggestions that I'd like to shoot past you guys to see what you think of them.

I have been reading about your four horsemen, in particular the poisoning idea. Taking the idea of "Sins of the father" and making it a reality, Lucien has managed to devise a poison that will only afflict his prodigy. Using some of his one blood as a base, and using some of his recently gained Dark Arts skills, he has made a poison that will make the vampire inflicted with it more corpse like until the cure is administered.

The cure can, and I would recommend, have some side effect that adds some extra tension along the way. But this side effect will fade quickly and not reoccur unless the cure is taken again

I would also see him using the hunter as a means of vampiric Darwinism. He will only want capable childer, and having an 'outside' influence work to remove them will take pressure of him by distracting their violent tendencies towards someone else, and there will not be any resentment for him killing off any failures. Plus, it serves as good training for them, and he learns a few more tricks to help keep himself safer from such hunters.

There's some good ideas in here, and some that we'd need to talk over if we want to implement them.

Personally I like the 'Vampiric Darwinism' idea for Lucien. I'll definitely try to incorporate that angle on the character.

Definitely good ideas there, vampire darwinism has been touched on in the second blade movie, and despite the third being pretty awful Drake's disdain for vampires came from their poor social evolution. It can very easily make sense, especially since Lucien is so old.

Interesting ideas but as for the poison I kinda have ideas of how I can see it affecting her that are a little more comfortable to me to play out Like the burning from within and making her think she is dying all over again with actual feeding causing physical pain. adding a psychological twist if say Vincent tried to have her feed from him and just like with the humans that hurt her too.

Nods, yeah that was one of the things I knew we'd need to talk over if we were going to consider Marauder's suggestions. I do like the idea that the cure only lasts a short while so when Lucien gives it to Karena she'll have to be close to him and dependant to him for it.

I thought he had suggested that the side affects only last a short time unless the cure was taken again?
