. Yeah those Caverns are pretty cool & amazing. We were up at our sons in Reston for the Holiday. Went to the National Air & Space Museum. A Most Impressive Collection of one of a kind aircraft & such. Laid out really well. Luv the “ Tiger Shark “ P-40 that greets you in the main gallery. Grandkids loved it too. Went out for some Irish 
music

Are you getting much of the Canadian wildfire smoke in your part of centralish VA? I’m near Fredericksburg and it’s pretty smoky right now.
I like to take a little flashlight with me for those tours.....the dark corners are fun
We were in the purple zone on Friday, but I think is over now. It was super hazy.
It looked Armageddon over here on Thursday and Friday. It’s starting to leave us now and we are getting our cobalt blue skies back.
Turned out very nice today. A little on the hot side but we had the water slide bounce house set up for the grandkids and they had a ball.
Luray was crowded the day I was there but that made for some interesting sights not related to the caverns.

There were not a lot but there were a few short shorts, short skirts and tight tops which made for some discrete viewing. Have not been to the beach in quite a while but that always makes an enjoyable people watching day.lol love to do some people watching, especially in the summer
Luray is a nice little town. I often stop for lunch at Ollie Cat Cafe when I’m on motorcycle rides in the area. Clean, good food, friendly service, reasonable prices.

I did not know he was still touring. Maggie Mae was my favorite Rod Stewart song.
That was my first trip to Luray in 30 years I am guessing. I wanted to go to Mount Vernon on July 3rd but the tours were all sold out so we ended up going to the caverns instead. In Colorado they had a cave tour where they gave each person an electric candle as the light source so you got to see what is was like for the original explorers. At one point, they have everyone turn off their candle to experience complete darkness. That was a fun, but more of a rugged tour.

You and ReallyRandy can do some deep dives into Rod Stewart. I have no memory of any of these songs. I remember Do ya think I am sexy and Tonight's the Night. He was not a singer I really followed though. The last concert I went to was a tribute band for The Eagles. The first concert I ever went to was Grand Funk Railroad when I was 15.
