Virginia Peeps

You and ReallyRandy can do some deep dives into Rod Stewart. I have no memory of any of these songs. I remember Do ya think I am sexy and Tonight's the Night. He was not a singer I really followed though. The last concert I went to was a tribute band for The Eagles. The first concert I ever went to was Grand Funk Railroad when I was 15. That was at the Cap Center which is long gone now.
🤣… those “ deep dives” would only cover the years from 1969-74 or so. When he was with the Faces..& recording solo too. Really liked his “ blues/ rock & roll/ folk style of those “ early years “. Not so much after that. No doubt he’s doing Exceptionally Well these past decades
I’m a much Bigger Fan of the “ other” Stewart… Al Stewart.. of “ Year of the Cat “ fame. Have ALL his CDs & seen him 4 times👍👍. Slainte 🎶🍺🍀

I remember Year of the Cat. Great song. When I get close to DC there is a HD substation 103.? that plays all Beatles commercial free. Brought back some good memories though I was at the tail end of the Beatles. It was probably American Graffiti that set the tone for a lot my high school music with the Beach Boys and other oldies. Saw them twice with Chicago as the second band. Smoke on the Water, Free Ride, We're an American Band and Born to Be Wild were all my rowdy, cruising songs. Ah, good times.

Glad you remembered👍. Some good song’s & groups you named. I may try to find that DC station one of these days. Thanks, Slainte ☘️🍺

Greetings Good Sir. Was up to Cedar Mountain Battlefield on Monday.. the 164th Anniversary of that engagement. Weather was almost exactly the same.. Hot & Humid. I had the whole battlefield to myself for close to 90 minutes.A most surreal experience. Did met a Ranger when I was having lunch.
Later I went into Culpepper to pay my respects at the National Cemetery & tour a bit of the “ Olde Town”.
Did the same thing in Orange, a bit of a “ walkabout “. Stopped at a Brewery on the way home for some “ refreshments🍺”.
All in all a most Satisfactory Day. Slainte 🍺

In Raleigh area now as we speak.
I was down there for the Audio Advice Live show which was a Home Theater enthusiast show. There was some really cool demos but just like Lit, it was almost all guys attending the show.

Hey Fire. I have not been any of battlefields around here lately though they are on my list of things to do. I think that AI goggles would be perfect for tours like that where you put on the goggle and can see it like you were really there with the troops and terrain showing where they were placed. I guess you could even make it live, with sound effects and everything if they wanted to spend the money.

Greetings Good Sir. An interesting take.. 21st Century tech, on a 19th Century Battlefield…. That’s one of the reasons I try to go to theses sites now.. to be there on the actual day it happened. The weather, vegetation etc. Can really help me “ time travel “. You must have a good dozen sites within an hour’s drive of you. Hope you find the time to take advantage & visit one. Slainte 🍀🍺
