I wonder... Where should I start reading or watching this stuff? I've only seen glimpses of the cartoon and movie. Especially now that I can get into this stuff that I totally wanted to see more of as a kid. (I grew up in a house where almost all forms of entertainment were banned, minimal TV and no comics)

 No TV! No Comics! :eek:Gah!!!

Check out your closest DVD retail store if you want to watch the one of cartoon volumes.
Or go to your nearest bookstore and look for the graphic novel (collections of comic book series) shelves. They should have some X-men ones there. May I suggest Astonishing X-men: Gifted written by Joss Whedon (creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer), or some of the classic comics in a graphic novel called the Essential X-men

Thank you V, I'll start there. Though finding a nearby bookstore might prove challenging. The Borders here just closed. Gotta go find another place to find books.

And I was allowed TV, during the short period of time when I got home from school and my parents hadn't gotten home yet, I'd sneak a little bit of TV in. But that was generally anything that was showing. Given the situation, we didn't have cable or anything, so channels were limited.

Actually in one of the cartoons it had wolvie be the leader and cyclops be the lone wolf. I liked that, it showed different aspects of the two characters as their roles were reversed on them.

That would be Wolverine and the X-Men, and it takes place after an accident propelled Charles' mind thirty years into the future and made Jean disappear entirely (we later find out she'd been taken over by Pheonix and enslaved by Sinister, actually). And the part I loved about it is...Cyclops' classic costume.

It should also be noted that as far as I know, the only member of the X-Men First Class lineup that was actually a member of the First Class is Beast. There was an Angel, but it was not WASP like they show it in the movie. Janet Pym, The Wasp, is NOT Angel. Warren Worthington the Third is Angel. And he actually WAS a member of the First Class lineup.

And how about some less commonly known members of the X-men. For instance, Wolfsbane, Forge, Dazzler, Bishop, Morph...and maybe some basic Marvel babes too, like Dagger from Cloak and Dagger, or Silver Sable.

I'm going to get some flak for this, I know...but how about some of the sexy reporter from TMNT, April O'Neil.

something for me...Sharon Carter, Sheild Agent 13, and Captain America's girlfriend.

Nothing sexier than a woman in only the shirt of the guy she went on a date with the night before. Ofcourse their dates usually involve punching hydra terrorists in the face, but hey whatever gets them in the mood, right?
