Visual inspiration: sexy image thread

I'm not sure of the legality of posting pics. I want to look for some pics of Pern, Dragons and such.
If I find them on the illustrators website, can I post them here? Do I merely have to acknowledge them?
 
I don't know for sure, Poly, I get mine from photobucket and Deviant Art mostly. I try not to comment on them too much which includes accrediting the artists...I also try not to profit off them in any way...but its a gray area what with copywright laws and everything...The only advice I can give is if you feel its wrong to hotlink the image provide a link to the artist's website and if you can that particular webpage of his work.
 
Poly The point is to get you to thinking: "Maybe she is on a seahorse. What would that be like to ride on...."

All the pictures are intended to be a kickstart to your imagination. I go out looking for them for just that purpose with varying degrees of success. Not a snapshot of the idea in of themselves. So if you want her to be on a seahorse for your idea you get from the picture its alright if you think it is a seahorse.

Did that make any sense?

Indeed it does.
Most every picture I see, in my mind I apply context to, whether it's a longer story or merely a vignette. To me a picture cannot be simply a static view, it tells a story.
