I don't get why vampires have to be white as a ghost. OK yeah I get that they can't go out in sunlight, but who said to be a Vampire you have to be an albino?

They don't have to be albino, but a pale vampire is a hungry one. With little blood consumed, their skin will pale rather than being the normal 'flushed' colour of a person.

Anyway, a completely monochrome vampire, with the proper personality, can be plain scary & creepy.
