Wagner Group Ceasing Hostility - Deal Struck

Documents shared exclusively with CNN suggest that a top Russian military commander, Gen. Sergey Surovikin, was a secret VIP member of Wagner, the private military company that staged a brief rebellion exposing disunity among senior Russian military officials.

The documents, obtained by the Russian investigative Dossier Center, showed that Surovikin had been assigned a personal VIP Wagner registration number in 2018.

I don't know...some things don't need to be told to the public. Basically...the Western media just put a target on this solder. The only thing gained is strengthening Putin's reign

Surovikin?

Conflicting reports, but he and Medvedev have likely been in custody since Saturday evening and may no longer be alive.

Yea. I haven't heard that...but it is 100% possible.

Something stinks like month old borscht.
A captured Russian pow told his capturers he was told he was going to be released early from prison and trained as a carpenter. The next day...he found himself on the front line in a trench with no training and no weapon. When you have no prisoners in prison...you can keep the money for yourself if you send them to a place of sure death

they call it 'going on vacation'... should putin be worried?

The mercenary group already started bussing hundreds of fighters from the country to the Russian cities of Voronezh, Rostov, and Krasnodar earlier this month, according to the online news website, citing a Russian insider.

Telegram channel VchK-OGPU said: "Officially, this is called as sending fighters on vacation. However, no one talks about returning to Belarus."

Poor pay has also meant others have left for African countries, reducing those left in Belarus by about a quarter with the second phase due to start shortly.

But he was willing to kill 9 innocent people to get him. Ends justify the means. Just like any Republican mantra
Well there are quite a few self-professed Republicans who post here who sing Putin's praises.

russian state media is 'confirming' it was him

i don't know what to believe: would his ego permit him to send another man in his place, under his name, to be assassinated alongside 9 others? or would being confirmed 'dead' mean he could operate more easily to take out putin?

The plane was caught on film having only one wing as it crashed. He was shot down.

Just last week...another ex-general just "died". It is the only way Putin can stay in power...but even his days are numbered

wagner group furious, says leader had better be alive or they'll march on putin

wagner group furious, says leader had better be alive or they'll march on putin
I've wondered about this, they took out a bunch of the top leadership of Wagner, but given the "money" Wagner has from it's African operations the new head just might want some revenge. If there is a retaliation attempt on Putin. Wouldn't bother me one iota if Putin got whacked.

^^ All fine and good, but we don't want the Wagturds getting the Nukes.

unverified reports of Belarusian authority shutting down internet to prevent wagner groups communicating and coordinating quick response:
Since co-founder Dmitri Utkin is also said to have been on board the crashed plane, the group is de facto leaderless, according to initial findings. Possible scenarios include integration into the Russian military, or possibly revenge actions. The latter may be feared in Belarus, where many of the Wagner mercenaries continue to reside after the uprising in Russia two months ago. According to information from Visegrad 24 via Network X, Belarusian authorities have shut down the Internet in the area of the Wagner Group’s main camp in the village of Tale. Further, Visegrad 24 writes: “It looks like Putin and Lukashenko are trying to prevent the Wagner group from communicating with each other and coordinating a quick response.”
