Hiya Trimjob what part of Wisconsin are you from?
That is one county I am not familiar with.
We don't get it like Bessemer and Ironwood. I think it has to do with being on the extreme south side of the Chequamegon Bay... Then again as soon as I am healed, HELLOOOO MADISON.... hope they didn't lose all their snow down there I have not been paying attention,

The snow is coming, just need to be a bit patient. After all, we did get one decent snow already.

Not in Ashland...which is where I am stuck for at least another week possibly three
I never knew that-- I thought it was one big glacier from Duluth to Sault Ste Marie. until May.

A week in the 40s is predicted. That's great for now. We'll still have plenty of snow, but now it's time for hiking and cutting wood.

Madison's snow has been gone since 2 days after it happened
It also might hit 50 degrees tomorrow... soo..... yeah. Huzzah!

True. Our economy (where I am) depends on tourism. Vacationers need water for lakes, ski and snowmobile trails, etc. Our neighborhood needs greenery. Forest fire? Then all is lost-- I don't want to be within a half mile of my house!
Still, a sunny mild December would be a treat... the snow will be here soon enough.
