Wake up Wisconsin!!

Sounds like a blast. I think the 70s for a high should hold for a couple more weeks. What lakes do you love the most? I grew up going camping in summers in Waupaca on the chain o lakes.

That's a nice area. I'm in the northeast. Lots of lakes, campgrounds, hiking trails. And the weather is like late August in September!

I was in Minnesota late aid and had a low one night of 45. So I'll keep going and enjoying til it stays cold

My utopia too. I'm in the northwoods and it's going to be a beautiful day!

Originally I am from way up north on the southern shore of Lake Superior... you know, the Chequamegon Bay?

I am hoping for the 70's for a bit longer myself!!

yeah. we had an overnight of 39° a couple of weeks ago, so it's definitely on the way...

I love the chilly nights though, makes for wonderful sleeping weather all curled up in my quilt!

the eclipse was gorgeous in southern wisconsin...I posted some pix on the GB.

So who is going to suggest some places for me to go play tourist in and around the Madison area that I can take puctures? Being a recent transplant a tour guide would also be appreciated! I like to do nature photos.

Well, if you're down in the Kenosha area let me know and I can take you around for pictures here and down into Northern IL!

Another couple of weeks and it should be getting really colorful and nice. Love this time of year...

Any time! Nothing like checking out fall colors while having a pumpkin spice latte! Take your camera and I'll drive us around to some places! Lake Bluff and Lake Forest (in IL) are both really nice, too...

Let me know when those leaves start changing!

Good morning Wisconsinites...a rainy day today, I am not enthused.

Good Morning Wi!! I work nights so yes it's morning. What a gorgeous day.

I hike a lot, and I'm in Milwaukee these days, but know Madison very well.

Depending on how far you want to drive, look at Devil's Lake state park (beautiful, about an hour from Madison) and lots of beautiful sections of the Ice Age Trail (www.iceagetrail.org) that are hikable within an hour of Madison.

Also, a few really awesome viewing towers a little farther north, if you want to stretch the drive to 1.5 hours each way.

I don't mind travel at all! I was actually up in the Merrimac (sp?) area recently and saw the road to Devil's lake. My thoughts were, this is going to be gorgeous when the leaves change. I also noticed the hiking trail signs and was contemplating doing that. Not as much fun alone but taking my camera, a day of solitude can be fun too. Plus, you never know who you are going to meet on the trail...which is why I carry bear pepper spray with me. :D

Go east. Kettle Moraine State Forest will be full of color in another week or two. Or north, which is what I prefer.

Bear pepper spray. Can't be too prepared. Should be a nice cool weekend great for outdoor sex. Yee ha!!

Devil's Lake! I remember doing some rock climbing there I think...
