I read somewhere that when they had Julius Streicher in the holding cells in Nuremburg, that one of the guards tied a small hangman's noose from either string or small rope. They had viewing windows in the doors so they could check at any time to make sure the sons-of-bitches hadn't offed themselves or were other wise up to no good. Anyway, this one soldier after lights out held the noose up to the window of Streicher's door and shone his flashlight on it, making a big shadow on the far wall of the cell. Old Julius was reported to have screamed like a child. Of course, he got a real one soon enough.

Streicher was the most recusant.
