Wat’s Carbon Water-N-Stuff Thread - Concepts In Iron And Wood!!!

If the firearm is designed in such a manner that emptying the magazine noticeably changes the firearms balance, someone designed a piece of shit.

I don't think anyone is saying that the balance changes, only that the arm is lighter as the ammo is expended.

BTW, I never shoot static or at single targets so I'm aware of this change as I'm shooting. I embrace it because it makes my next target acquisition faster.

Weight retention is another reason to be a 1911 fan.

My mantra: Give me a 1911 in 9mm and someone to feed me an unlimited number of loaded magazines and I can conquer the world.

I have never felt that way about any other platform, including long arms. The 1911 platform is the best at doing what handguns were intended to do. (Well, not the micro 1911's, they're really designed for girls to think they can shoot.)

The AR is great at what it does but it's nowheres near as fast on multiple close quarters targets as a handgun.

And if you're gonna conquer the world all by yourself, you need to be getting it done fast, fast, fast.

We plant merit with our minds, and we commit crimes with our minds. With our minds, we imprint images. This one mind is like an artist. It can draw anything, and what it draws is realized. If you surrender your impressions, ideas, thoughts, and so on at the moment they arise without imprinting them on your mind, your minds will not be tainted, just as the lotus flower is not tainted by the muddy water whence it grows.

Peace sin't found in thinking harder, or more, or about more things.

It's about thinking less . . .

Remain silent, and you sink into a realm of shadows; speak, and you fall into a deep pit. Try, and you’re as far away as sky from earth; give up, and you’ll never attain. Enormous waves go on and on, foaming breakers flood the skies who’s got the bright pearl that calms the oceans?

Egotism is the anesthetic that dulls the pain of stupidity.

Death is better than slavery, say the old Frisian peasants. Reverse this aphorism and you have the formula of all late civilizations.

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

~ William Pitt the younger
