Wat’s Carbon Water-N-Stuff Thread - Concepts In Iron And Wood!!!

Sweetie....... I will warn you, once you start down that rabbit hole, there is no coming back, no recovery, no 12 point recovery plan.... this will consume you, consume shop space, you will gladly hand your money out, every waking hour you will study machining, history and the laws of thermal dynamics.....also this is a gateway into remote control aircraft and the construction of model aircraft.........you have been informed thusly 😊

There is an old guy who fashioned an OHC pair of v8 heads onto an anvil straight 8 block. It's all together, and he has a 5-speed stick behind it. He's old and tired now and his kid has the whole project for sale. We're talking, Junior and I. This would/will be sweet . . . .

I hope I can resist trying to improve on it and build a gooderer one.

I jumped into woodworking with both feet several decades ago so I know how crazy hobbies can get.

But, I want to retire and need something new to keep my mind and hands occupied.

I've gained 5 pounds just viewing this photo 😢.......... warnings sweetie, warnings.....🥰

There are petit choux eclairs in my near future. Maybe some thumbprint cookies too. I also want to make a fruitcake that isn't a 3lb loaf in a 1lb package like most of them are. And some mincemeat pie. REAL mincemeat not that spiced fruit kind everyone says is mincemeat.

But no gingerbread. If you want gingerbread make it, or buy it, yourselves.

The very first "assault weapon" is reportedly the jawbone of an ass. Not to be confused with the jawbone of an Ass, which is a totally different thing and we're not related in any possible way to the biblical one.

I’m pretty sure that the descriptor jawbone of a donkey would work in the biblical tale without changing the meaning in the slightest.

As the stonewall of the west surmised, history is written by the victors, and they get to characterise the vanquished any way they see fit.

Cocksuckers times three….

Only 3 times? Dam that's lenient.

Fuckin' retail US coins have gotten all spikey lately. Kinda makes me wish I had scored more rolls of them pre-infectious disease.

Hello Wat...yeah the precious metal market is very high. The thing that sort of keeps me up at night is that same gold coin today (about $4200) was $20.00 in 1900. Lots of folks don't see this but its actually a reflection of how much value our dollars have lost. All thanks to our I'm here to help government officials. So, if you have the fiat currency to spare, picking up some precious metals is one way to help preserve value...you can also pick up other physical items that have long term value like...oh, I don't know..just spitballin here....guns and ammo?

Yes, all of those. I remember reading an article - this was way back - about antique and classic cars and their value as investments. For the top-o'-the-line models, yes, maybe. The intermediates seem to be losing value as their owners are dying and the kids don't care and the pool of potential buyers has shrunk/is shrinking. I'm more inclined to refer to the drop in prices as a market correction. Nonetheless, there are some interesting looking nearly-100-year-old rides out there for way less than they used to be. But still, guns and ammo.

And they still ain't makin' any more dirt . . . .

Success should be an accidental reward for you finding fulfillment in life as it is rather than chasing it and then realizing that doesn’t fill the void and then being successful and unhappy.

Ya might pay attention to the Japanese carry-trade, markets ect.... at least until the end of the year..... this is looking to be quite the sleigh ride....... keep the weather gauge.......

WTF???? Silver spot market is $58 and change per oz.
Sweetie..... it's the premium spread.... there's a disconnect between spot silver and a silver eagle.....the spread is on average 6-10 monies because the coin dealer needs a profit, hence the premium.....the price as of late is kinda volatile...
If you go to the largest auction site..that begins with an e.... and keep the weather gauge on silver your receive a fair cross section of the market.....but be fore warned purchase you PM's from a reputable source.....due your diligence.....
Ps.... bullion and coins are deferent as is "junk" silver....... I find this subject fascinating.....there's more...

I do, too. I shop 'til I drop on those kinds of things. I like the first half of the century stuff. The Barbers are nice because every piece is nearly 110 years old or older.

Suffered through another unconstitutional inquiry today. It was worth it, kinda. More goodies arrived.
