Watching Trump.

He plays to the Busch Beer and Kyle Busch fans.

I watched the first part of Trump's NC rally earlier (up until the local politics kicked in) and I took notice of something. His presentation is as if he's having a conversation with the crowd. He interacts with them on almost a personal level. OK, so that's where the connection is?

So I dug up some speeches by past presidents on YouTube and for the most part they talked at the crowd, lectured as it were. Obama and both the Bush's were horrible at that as was Nixon and LBJ. Kennedy wasn't too bad at it. And it's kind of a toss up between Clinton and Reagan as to who comes in second.

And I think it's that connection that Trump is making that the democrats are missing and why they haven't been able to make a dent in his base. None of the democrat candidates have exhibited that knack either.

Yep, rarely do I but for once I will agree with you. He has the same connection with his base as Bill Cody did with his audience, as P.T. Barnum did with his. But as Barnum said,"There's a sucker born every minute."

The Donald is a showman, a flimflam man. He uses the same verbal slight of hand that many showmen and political leaders have through history. He rants and rambles and sprinkles insults like confetti keeping his audience focused on something very visible but inconsequential and they swallow it, hook line and sinker.

And through it all he says nothing of substance. Did he, any where in his address to the crowd, speak directly of the Democratic policies and what he would like instead? Nope, nary a word. It was all about wanting four citizens to leave the country because he doesn't agree with their ideas for this country. According to the Donald the four hate the U.S. so should leave the U.S. If that's true then the Donald should pack his bags because he despises the people of the U.S. who disagree with his vision for this country (a majority I might add).

The Donald has the ability to tell a lie, tell another that conflicts with that lie a minute later and those who follow him will swallow it whole without blinking. The Donald is everything we shouldn't have. Trumpites on the right get all spun up when he's compared to Hitler, but there are remarkable similarities. One of those is that both were/are capable of enticing a crowd to a rabid state with empty rhetoric and poisonous insulting pretentiousness.

Kamala Harris is a poor liar because she tells implausible ones but no one better at saying nothing.

Sanders generally tells the truth as he lunderstands it but he has no grounding in reality. He's been shaking his fist in earnest at the clouds for decades and he never thought any of his kooky proposals would seem sane to antine.

Biden is actually trying to resell Obama's lie of the year.

Buttigieg is so "out of the closet" he didn't bother to disclose or celebrate his "diversity" in his pretty conservative but entirely Democratic town until he was safely the incumbent.

Spartacus has no chance. He thought voters would make the same mistake twice on an entirely unqualified candidate. He doesn't understand that you can only be the historic black president the first time. To his credit he is actually fairly black, though he was raised with even more privilege than Obama.

The crowd knows "he's one of us." The also know, "he's just as fed up as we are."

They don’t know how to beat Trump pure and simple. Everyone of the candidates are a fucking idiot running with basically the same message. They’d be better off begging him to withdraw from running for re-election in 2020.

In one breath they raise their hands in favor of free health care for illegals and in another tell us citizens will be taxed to pay for it. What else could go wrong with their "message?"

Thinking Trump is ‘one of us’ is a revolting thought indeed. How could one think so little of one’s self?

That sounds like saying you’ll build a wall but Mexico will pay for it then making US citizens pay for it.

Thinking Trump is ‘one of us’ is a revolting thought indeed. How could one think so little of one’s self?

The answer will always elude the pea sized brains of the democrat demographic who pioneered small thinking in America.

Trump is a braggart, bully, and an established, frequent liar, with the political diplomacy of a wet fart, and none of the integrity or respect - respect for the office, country, and for the people who challenge or disagree with him on his policies and statements (tweets) - befitting a President.

The fact that a brash, idiot President who called Mexicans “rapists”, Puerto Ricans (aka US citizens) “lazy”, and women “whores”, is not only fine and dandy with the doddery bigots and the intellectually servile, partisan pinheads here, but staunchly defended by them, is not surprising.

Not surprising in the least.

The organized MAGA-hat numpty gatherings is just Trump pandering to the lowest common denominator. He did it with his television shows too.

franziasaurus (and vetteman, hisderpyness, q-bert, and AJ-gump) are watching the political spin-off of the Bachelorette, and think it shows Trump doing a great job. :)

That right there, along with some of the asinine replies in this thread, tells you all you need to know about the gullibility and folly of the true-blue Trump supporter.

You sound angry. Are you a Russian bot trying to influence the 2020 election?

I'm not angry.. Look up incredulous.

As for how I talk to you and your "elk", look up derision.

You're the biggest idiot of them all..a cross dressing homosexual Trump ball licker...that's absolutely asinine.

Yup. He’s angry😂

He’s so mad we could cast him in a remake of “Grumpy old men”.

I ain’t looking shit up. You need to look up the number to Uhaul and look into moving out of that shithole you call Detroit.

Like I said.. You're the biggest idiot.

Michael Cohen bought the silence of Stormy Daniels after a flurry of phone calls between Donald Trump, Hope Hicks and executives at AMI in the heat of the 2016 election, according to newly unsealed FBI documents.

Federal prosecutors on Thursday released hundreds of pages detailing how the president’s former fixer illegally paid hush money to Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal who both were prepared to publicly say before Election Day that Trump had cheated on his wife with them. Instead, they were silenced through six-figure sums paid by Cohen.

Look at you deflecting😂

I told you the other day only an idiot would live in a shithole like Detroit where property value drops on a daily basis.
