Tom Harkin is out there saying that this bill marks a demarcation from health care as a privilege to health care as a right, and even if public option (the gateway to single payer) is not in it now, it will be part of the future, because health care is a right and government will ave to step in to protect the rights of all citizens.

The flaw is that healthcare covers a lot more than just diseases. That's a terrible basis for determining coverage.
