We Survived - (An OOC Casting Call)

Shellshocked troops tend to be popular archetypes, not that their appearance in fiction corresponds much with the number of actual cases. Much less nowadays, compared to Vietnam or the Second World War.

Well, in my character's defense, it wasn't the service that made him depressed.

My original thought was exactly this. But I don't mind at all that people are writing the infection. If people just note the time for continuity that's an easy edit and won't upset the awesome work so far.

And if people write through it then I'm ok with that too. :)

Yeah I definitely was able to gather that people were supposed to do an introduction first, not immediately start with ZOMBIEZ! but whatever, a bit late now. It wouldn't be worth making people delete their work since it has been good anyway. I guess I'm just a bit concerned about how we're all going to find each other if we're so scattered apart.

I  ZOMBIEZ omg teh b3st thing evar11!!!1!!111

hehe

It seemed like everyone was getting pulled towards the center of town. So that is where I plopped Brandon. I figure there are two things we can try and do; find a place to hole up, or try to escape the town once they all get together. Either way it'll be a bit tricky to get them together, but it should be fun! And isn't that the point anyways?

OMG! Another zombie, must kill! *draws knife and stalks*

I hate to see disputes and complaining so early already. Doesn't make for good reading for others dropping by to see what's going on.

Have to agree with Ahren. An rp of this magnitude needs someone to guide the players. A game master of sorts. Ice as the thread originator would be the obvious choice for this role. As this gm he would also control the majority of the zombies too.

I think things will go smoother this way.

Don't think it's like that. More "suggestions" than anything.

go get that sucker!..And have fun!:D

Since Jessa and the (former) guys were outside of town, technically, I just used that as a lil intro thing.

Zombie Farmer probably won't make it far with his innards trailing behind him.

Disputes and complaining? Where?

I´m hoping to post tonight, by the way. I just have to fight off the sudden sense of impending doom at my realization that I have to do a project and pass three exams in September and matriculate for the next year, all under threat because of my Spanish educational system-sponsored laziness.

Right now, from where I sit, I couldn't be happier. I know that right now the "direction" of the story seems ambiguous, but that's partially intentional. I don't want us to have a hard direction. Instead, by not really insisting anything, we can all try and focus on developing our characters and exploring the situation.

Eventually, if it helps, I did have plans to change the setting on everyone again. I'd be playing GM, sort to say, at that point. But until then I really think the loose line between writers reflects the chaos of the situation really well.

So, for right now, I'm happy to let the story write itself. Later, though, I promise another dynamic change.

See I agree wholeheartidly with this. Thank you 'boss'.

PG, that's one fun read of a post.

That's one wild trucker. Hugely entertaining to read.

Thank you! He's quickly becoming a favorite of mine. It will be rather tricky in getting him out however... So much the better!

You're an excellent writer yourself. Very serious/dramatic stuff going, feels very real, and it's not over the top like a soap opera. Even though it's only been two posts it looks like your character has a history longer then Moses. ;) :D

Thank you PG...I'm glad you like my posts. Never had Moses brought into a compliment before, but it made me smile. Thanks:rose:

Can you imagine if someone said that in person? I think I might die laughing.

Oh well, the internet is awesome. :D

PG, I'd just like to say fight club is one of my favorite mindfuck movies of all time.

Excellent. Mindfuck is right. I watched it three times in a row after i saw it for the first time. It is simply amazing. I find the whole movie incredibly thought provoking and at the sametime a great world to just escape into. What if you could just start fighting whenever you wanted? Who gives a fuck?

It's so much different then worrying about what fucking ikea table i'm going to buy...

haha, yeah I love it.

"How embarrassing. A fridge full of condiments, and no food."

"Now, a question of ethics. Do I give you the ass or the crotch?"

"You are not special. We are all part of the same compost heap."

Well I'm not too satisfied with my last post but chaos seemed to be everywhere else, I guess it was time for it to hit town. Plus I needed something to do and a reason to meet up with anyone else before I got bored posting on my own. Probably would have been better for someone else to write it.

I constantly view my posts through a critical lens. It's hard, sometimes, when you have a vision and you feel you didn't quite get it out the way you wanted. So, I understand your sentiment.

I just don't see anything that I'd have really changed. I thought it was extremely well done, particularly the part involving the Van's accident and the people getting caught up in the insanity of an undead attack when they attempted to help.

I'm also -really- glad you got ahold of Lilly's character. So, not only did you get yourself with another player but one that could have used grabbing. So, all in all, amazing work.

Those are all excellent.

I love the "Jack" books, Marla, and the office seen with his boss. Amazing stuff.

No no no, please don't hit me! No, no, not the table!

Fuck me, guys. I have a post brewing. I'll get it out in a couple hours most likely. Going to stay away from the brain lubrication tonight, though. Had a rather nasty yesterday into this bright and early morning.

Having not known you very long I'm already beginning to suspect this a reoccurring... Not habit, but... Event? Occupation? Occurrence? Within your life on the pc. If so... Cheers!

What's on tap typically? Disaronno, Seagram's, and Brandy are all I've got on the shelf at the moment. I'm not much into the beers...

I typically enjoy Pernod Fils or Le Tourmant Verte if I can't get more of the former right away.

Elsewise, a good High Ball or Bombay on the rocks will serve.
