I had a really great question thrown my way.

"Would they be the only survivors from town?"

The answer is no. I think that at this point there are between 1200-1500 people in town, a ton, but that being said its the chaos of the initial outbreak that claims the most casualties. As things progress those fortunate enough to escape the infection would begin taking planned action to maximize their chance of survival.

I think other small pockets of life would sustain.

Royal Oaks is a rural town. The townsfolk are very independent and capable people. They, more then city folk, would have no problem boarding up a home with only a hammer and what was lying around. Also, in general, they own more firearms.

So, I definitely think there would be others. Getting to them, however, would be very problematic.

It's always the females that screw you though. They're always getting "helpless" and either you have to really save them, or they steal your shit after they fuck you. It's a loose loose situation here. How so? Cause once the zombiez attack everyone wants a piece of ass!

I'm not so sure about this honey bum! Trying to shoot me, feed me to the zombies, or experimenting on me all require you to try. Stealing my shit after you fuck me don't require too much effort. Neither does putting yourself in a hopeless situation for me to save you from. Ain't? Hrmph, we'll see about that miss mini-skirt. I imagine that freezer is gonna make yer keyster pretty cold. Might need someone to warm it up.
