‘There was no mention of Russia’: Shep Smith breaks with Fox News’ effusive praise of Trump’s speech

Shep Smith responded to President Donald Trump’s Tuesday night address in his segment on Wednesday, pointing out that there was no mention of Russia whatsoever, including “its meddling in our election or his team’s communications with Russian officials.”

Shep added that the speech came on the same day that “House Republicans killed a Democratic measure that would have pressured the Justice Department to turn over documents related to the Trump administration’s ties to Russia. There are currently multiple investigations into this issue.”

He noted that there are transcripts available of the conversations between former Gen. Michael Flynn and the Russian ambassador he spoke with that could answer some of the questions that the president won’t answer, such as whether there was Russian interference in the election.

“Democrats want them published, now Republicans have blocked the first attempt to make them public.” He also noted the confusion on Russia’s side as President Vladimir Putin is reportedly “waiting for Trump to make clear the official Russian policy,” Shep said. “That’s the word from Putin’s own spokesperson after a lack of Russian mention at last night’s address to Congress.”

Has Trump lost the "News Half" of Fox?

BUSTED: Sessions spoke to Russian ambassador during campaign — despite telling Congress he had no contact

According to the Post, one of the meetings took place in September, as mounting evidence indicated that Russia was attempting to interfere in the U.S. presidential election. Another occurred in July. At the time, Sessions was a senior member of the Armed Services Committee.

Sessions has repeatedly refused to recuse himself from the DOJ investigation into Russian interferences and possible ties between the Kremlin and Trump associates.

When an AG lies to Congress isn't that grounds for removal?

Rep. Schiff: House Intel Committee will investigate charges of collusion between Trump campaign and Russia

“As a few minutes ago, we have reached a written agreement … that we will investigate allegations of Russian collusion with the Trump campaign,” Schiff told MSNBC’s Chris Matthews. “That will be very much a part of our investigation.”

Schiff added that the House’s investigation with be “thorough,” but noted if Democrats in the House “get to the point where we don’t feel we can do that job,” they “will be public about it.”

Surprise! Guess Who Benefits From Trump's First Bill Signing

This bill, House Joint Resolution 17, erases a rule that was supposed to go into effect in 2018. This bill benefits oil companies and Vladimir Putin.

That rule said that oil and natural gas and other energy companies have to disclose when they make a payment to a foreign government. Taxes, fees, whatever, if an American company pays a foreign government money, they have to report that.

Not anymore they don't.

PS. The exchange at the end of this video would be hilarious if it weren't terrifying. Trump turns to Paul Ryan:

TRUMP: He's working on Obamacare -- it's going to be very soon. Right?

SPEAKER RYAN: (looking surprised) Yes.

GOP Panicking As Majority Of Voters In Key 2018 States Are Unhappy With Trump

As the White House finds itself embroiled in endless scandal, the news for the Republican Party keeps getting worse as a majority of voters in key 2018 states are concerned about Donald Trump’s choices as president.

According to a Public Policy Polling (PPP) survey obtained by The Hill, nearly 60 percent of voters in seven 2018 battleground states said they believe the president’s Cabinet picks will hurt middle-class Americans and only help rich billionaires like Trump.

It’s Only Fair To Ask: Is Donald Trump Working For ISIS?

Donald Trump is already making us nostalgic for those innocent early days of his campaign, when he mostly came across as a buffoon bent on wrecking the Republican Party. He was so good at it that he had to angrily deny he was a Democratic plant.

Turns out the rumors and jokes were on the right track, but lacking in imagination. With his announcement Monday that if he were King of America, he’d keep all the Muslims out, it looks like he’s playing a far more insidious game. We need to look very closely — very, very closely — at whether Donald Trump is actually an agent of the so-called Islamic State, because there’s no greater propaganda gift an American presidential candidate could give the radical group than announcing the USA will exclude an entire religion from the First Amendment. They’re already celebrating in some bunker in Raqqa: “Hey guys! Get this into a recruiting video right now!” It seems only fair to ask: Is Donald Trump’s propaganda gift to ISIS an inside job?

Arnold Schwarzenegger bows out of Celebrity Apprentice, citing Trump’s ‘baggage

Arnold Schwarzenegger on Friday said he would not appear on another season of The Apprentice citing President Donald Trump, the Hill reports.

“Even if asked I would decline,” Schwarzenegger said. “I learned a lot, I had a great time, it was a really great opportunity. But under the circumstances I don’t want to do it again.”

“With Trump being involved in the show people have a bad taste and don’t want to participate as a spectator or sponsor or in any other way support the show,” he continued. “It’s a very divisive period right now and I think the show got caught up in all that division.”

In a statement, Schwarzenegger added that he “loved” working with the Apprentice team, adding he would “absolutely work with all of them again on a show that doesn’t have this baggage.”

And the sacks of shit that Trump throws!

Tapper nails Trump for claim ‘we must do a lot more with less’ while costing taxpayers $3M at Mar-a-Lago

Every time President Donald Trump spends the weekend at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, it costs taxpayers $3 million. Yet, just days ago, Trump told Americans that spending must be cut.

“Unfortunately, the budget we’re essentially inheriting is a mess. The finances of our country are a mess,” Trump told reporters at the start of a meeting with Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Office of Management and Budget director Mick Mulvaney. “We must do a lot more with less.”

Well get Congress to pass some woth while Legislation with fewer days off then.

Donald Trump under fire from veterans for wearing flight jacket and admiral's hat

Donald Trump, who received five deferments from the Vietnam war draft, has angered military veterans by wearing a flight jacket and an admiral's cap during a visit aboard an aircraft carrier.

The president sported the olive military jacket and hat during a tour of the new Gerald R. Ford carrier in Newport News, Virginia, as he pledged to boost defence spending.

The jacket and hat, which was personalised with the words "POTUS 45" on the back, were a gift from the crew.

"They said, 'Here Mr. President, take this home.' I said, 'Let me wear it,'" Mr Trump said during his address to the crew, drawing laughter. "And then they gave me the beautiful hat, and I said, 'You know? Maybe I'll do that.' "

As CinC he can choose his own Uniform. It surprises me that he didn't have epaulets and a Real Estate for Losers Medal or two.

In the UK in the late 19th Century, W H Smith, stationer and owner of thousands of book stalls across the country was made 1st Lord of the Admiralty - a political appointment and a position that was later held by Sir Winston Churchill for periods in both World Wars.

W H Smith's appointment was parodied by W S Gilbert in the Gilbert and Sullivan comic opera HMS Pinafore - "Stick close to your desk and never go to sea, and you all may be Lords of the Admiraltee..."

Unlike President Trump and W H Smith, Winston Churchill had been a serving soldier, involved in combat several times, wounded, and a prisoner of war who successfully escaped.

But President Trump is the Commander of Chief of all US forces. He can wear whatever service's uniform he wants, particularly if it has been presented to him by service personnel.

But you missed the important message, fuck anything not (D)!!!

That was deliberate. Whoever is President of the United States deserves respect whatever their political party.

I think that depends on whether the president is respecting the role of president. In the case we have now, we have a lunatic in the job. The respect of the office of president in this case is to vacate it.

There's no dress code for the office of President of the US. Trump can wear Trump ties or Ivanka dresses if he wants. And the press and public are within their rights to ridicule him for it.

This is one of the rare times I disagree with you Og ,respect is earned not deserved ,and does not depend on your position in society .
