Proving once again that you didn't read my post and have very low comprehension.
Decent? Your posts say othewise.
No, YOU are the one with “very low comprehension”:
We (decent, intelligent individuals) have been warning that DonOld is a rogue authoritarian / totalitarian/ imperialist (likely a Russian asset) who is a walking threat to America’s national security, the rule of law, the constitution, democracy, and the free world.

WE. TOLD. THEM. SO.

We probably should have done the same with Cuba.![]()
This is what I’ve been wondering. If Rubio gives an order is the Venezuelan military going to follow it?We still don't have any TROOPS in Venezuela. How can we run the country?
Secretary of State Marco Rubio suggested Sunday that the United States would not govern Venezuela day-to-day other than enforcing an existing “oil quarantine” on the country, a turnaround after President Donald Trump has insisted that the U.S. would be running Venezuela following its ouster of leader Nicolás Maduro.
“We’re going to run it, fix it,” the president said Sunday night, adding, “We’ll have elections at the right time,” but didn’t say when that might be.
Does that mean Venezuela cannot export its oil? What's the point of THAT?!!Rubio says Trump was just making shit up, as usual, and that nobody should listen to the demented geezer.
Rubio says US won’t govern Venezuela but will press for changes through oil blockade
What do you want to bet that Trump will double down (he always does) by repeating that he is running Venezuela?
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said Sunday that Venezuelans in the U.S. who were previously under temporary protective status (TPS) can apply for asylum.
“Every individual that was under TPS has the opportunity to apply for refugee status and that evaluation will go forward,” Noem told host Gillian Turner on “Fox News Sunday.”
Noem ended TPS earlier this year for roughly 600,000 Venezuelan migrants who received protected status from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under the Biden administration.
That’s a very strange definition of democracy.
He's a very strange person.
Ah yes that world nuclear super power Grenada that the USA absolutely had to invade. Definitely was justified that action.I’m thrilled that Maduro is gone. So are the people of Venezuela, by all accounts. That's a good thing.
I’m worried, given the historical precedents in China, Cuba, Iran, Nicaragua, Syria, and other countries, that what comes after him might be worse.
What is the constitutional authority for this? Where do we get the authority to enforce US law in foreign countries?
Isn't Congress supposed to declare war?
Nation building is always a bad idea.
I know they plan to have an election down the road, but why put Maduro's VP in charge (even temporarily)? (BTW, his name doesn't sound very Venezuelan.) Why not the winner of the election?
If we’re justifying it under the Monroe Doctrine, when are we going in to topple the Cuban regime?
If we’re justifying it under international law and/or claiming authority to enforce US law against foreign regimes, when are we going in to arrest Xi Jinping?
If “we’re running Venezuela” now, does that mean we run Citgo? Is that what this is about?
Who's paying for this?
I hope this turns out to be a short-term thing like Reagan's intervention in Grenada or LBJ's intervention in the Dominican Republic, not another endless war like Iraq or Afghanistan.
it's quite likely that those seeking to enter the USA were opposed to maduro... every vote for trump helps, as far as he's concerned now he'll need them. These people, like everyone around trump, are disposable. The Trump Regime now says immigrants from Venezuela are welcome! Previously the President said they all came from Venezuela emptying its prisons and asylums.
As always, the Regime is logical and every move is well thought out.
Ignorance is strength.
Russian officials indicated in 2019 that the Kremlin would be willing to back off from its support for Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela in exchange for a free hand in Ukraine, according to Fiona Hill, an adviser to President Donald Trump at the time.
The Russians repeatedly floated the idea of a “very strange swap arrangement between Venezuela and Ukraine,” Hill said during a congressional hearing in 2019. Her comments surfaced again this week and were shared on social media after the U.S. stealth operation to capture Maduro.
Hill said Russia pushed the idea through articles in Russian media that referenced the Monroe Doctrine — a 19th century principle in which the U.S. opposed European meddling in the Western Hemisphere and in return agreed to stay out of European affairs.
Never forget whose fault this is.

It's really not fair to call Maduro an enemy of America, nor Chavez either. WE picked that fight.Oh noes your poor comrade Maduro!!!
LOL.....look at the anti-Americans siding with the enemies of America AGAIN.
well usa has been in a on going feud with cuba since the 1960s
Remember that when Castro came to power, he was eager to be America's friend. WE drove him into the arms of the Russian bear! It's really not fair to call Maduro an enemy of America, nor Chavez either. WE picked that fight.
Really?
I hadn't heard!
Grenada was the first time we actually rolled back what the Communists had taken. That small action started to turn the tide.Ah yes that world nuclear super power Grenada that the USA absolutely had to invade. Definitely was justified that action.
Not much worth it in hindsight, was it? A world without a serious Communist option is no improvement.Grenada was the first time we actually rolled back what the Communists had taken. That small action started to turn the tide.
“What the communists had taken”Grenada was the first time we actually rolled back what the Communists had taken. That small action started to turn the tide.
