Re: So are you guys just gonna BITCH about this forever?

I've been thinking these past few daze it might be good to find something else to bitch about, Blue.

You're right, of course....this is after all, Cym's Forum.

I didn't know that at first.

I thought she was just some self-appointed weenie....when in fact she's The Weenie. :)

PS: any ideas for something new to talk about here?

That doesn't seem a very "Domly" way of dealing with the serious situation you have on your hands here. You should be taking matters into your own hands and building a better way.

Show all the wusses at this "tea party" what a MAN thinks about BDSM! Get away from all the estrogen and BUILD a place where a man can speak what's on his mind and not have to worry about those "Goderators" fuckin' with his stuff!

Do it just like cym did. Go to the GB, push the button that says "New Thread". Call it "The KingDOM" or "BDSM for MEN" or "Fuck those Pussies"! (that might attract a lot of attention)
Just let your gutsy, balls out, real meat approach to BDSM run WILD! Let you posters do all the things that you are so oppressed for over here.(what did you want to DO again?)

Then when you have 50 or 60 pages of the good stuff, don't ask.. TELL Laurel that she has to make you a forum of your own. Maybe we could call the forums "BDSM Chat Pink" and "BDSM Chat Blue".

Then things would be JUST the way you want them all the time. Then you won't have to beg to change the things that you find so intolerable.

Until you have some proof that you have a WAY, let alone a "better way" of dealing with the subject of BDSM, your complaints are only good for their entertainment value as "creative trolling".

We'll think about it Blue. Are you going to join us, or do you have a little sugar in your britches?

Bu,...buh,...but Blue,...ya just don't understand.
This is NOT ongoing for the sake of making a *better* way,...this is a matter of who is going to have,..."The Last Word".

((Read 'The Last Word', to the beat of suspenseful "B" Grade, movie *THRILLER* sounding drums, and background music, leading to a semi-climactic, (semi-not referring to trucks), event of a bony, (no pun intended), hand reaching out to grasp an unwary victim, of untold horrors at the stroke,(no pun intended), of midnight.))

(Yes,...this IS,..an attempt at supplying gruesome humor to a re-run of the soap operas we are ALL addicted to) :D

Well Im a bit tired, Big night out with the girls last night, you know how that is.

Oh wait. I guess you dont.

Re: Re: Cocoa?

You're right, I don't know how that is; I date one woman at a time or go out with mixed couples. Straight guys tend to do that sort of thing. YMMV.

I saw it mentioned you were at a strip club, I believe...I don't go to those much either, except when being comp'd at the auto shows by those big cigar chewing guys from detroit who like hookers, then sometimes you have to go pretend that you find naked, abused, vacant crack heads in your lap sexy.

But hey, that's just me.

You've got style, and i love the latest av! We have to find someway to channel your considerable skills. Even more than your debating chops, that "Cool Hand Luke...Never Stay Down" kinda "slugging in my sleep, even" doggedness is a natural resource too good to waste.

Hell, after WWII the U.S. hired half the S.S. as "security consultants". It's letting things go to waste that's the worst crime.

You're the best action Lit's seen in a while. Even KM had to commute for a piece of ya.There MUST be something people still feel strongly about...(scratching head)

How about "Drowning Puppies for Fun and Fashion"... too Disney?

I appreciate the concerns that people like Ruby voiced and I have tried to address them as best I could.
But many of these complaints are red herrings. I do not believe the issues of "chat room" behavior or personal ads are high on the agendas of many people here, they are just cudgels to try to beat the Moderators over the heads with to some of those raising them.

I think you're being defensive, James. I really do. I like all of the moderators here and have no desire to beat you, cym or Risia over the head.

I feel that moderators should take care of the legal stuff (no personal info, etc.) and be participatory on the board. That's about it. I don't think they should try to set the tone of the board, because then it becomes too much about them and their likes and dislikes. It's stifling.

But that's just me.

Ruby, I apologize that my statement was not written clearly enough. I meant for it to read in such a way as to separate out your valid complaint from those I feel are merely ruses to create turmoil.

If I could find a way to keep Ruby and KM over here, maybe a few others...wouldyahelp?

There are some very cool chix on the GB that I'd like to see over here in "Full sentences & Whole paragraphs" Land...

Wondering....does it ever occur to you that turmoil occurs here because there are rules?

Internet BBS' are generally the kinds of places where Rules are torn up as a matter of course.

Who cares if people started chatting?

Or started making out in the corner?

Who knows.....It might even be more fun than arguing with Me, James.

For me, sex has been just a spectator sport for over 20 years. It was weird, i wrote a thread about it here sometime ago. It's the ONLY thread in this forum that has the word "celibacy" in it.

IF i were to go back to sex, i would CERTAINLY be heterosexual. i love women more NOW than i did when i was married! (there's a joke in there somewhere.. i just can't put my finger on it)

i would DEFINITELY visit such a thread! i really think you guys have some issues that deserve exploration, i think there are a lot of people who for one reason or another are just not embraced by the "cliqueish" society which has sprung up.

That kinda "grouping" does happen at a tea party, but i don't think it's meant in a disdainful or deliberately exclusive in any way.

i think that fact that this forum exists is a MIRACLE, and it sure has proved a miracle for me.

It seemed to me that some people at the "Feeding of the 5000" were complaining that there was only fish and bread being served.

Somehow the idea of having "sugar in my britches" seems oddly appealing though. i'll have to try that.

Peace,
Blue

<edited to add a little Ruby bait! i'd like to see her over here more often too!>

That all may well be true. I did not write the rules, they were in place when I got here, and by accepting the Moderator's position I am honor bound to go by them.

But in all honesty Lance, I will say again that I am unconvinced that the rules or the lack thereof are a real issue to you. If there was no sticky, and there were no forum rules of any kind, I am sure you would find another flag to wave in your ceaseful bid to be the center of attention.
Perhaps I am wrong, and if so, I invite you to prove me wrong by your actions.
Have you considered that by making a red herring out of the rules you are diminishing the case for those who may have real issues?

Badges? We don't need no stinkin badges

I said it before and I will say it again, Let people in here police themselves. Let things develope as they will.

Join hands and let's all chant: NO MORE RULES! NO MORE POLICING!

And I won't say it again. This is my third time.

Bingo. For me at least. That's why I like the GB so much. I like that everybody there has an audience. I embrace the diversity.

When we lived in CT, we lived in a town that was 99.9 percent white and rich.

It was hell.

I made clear in my first response to you that Sandia's complaints were addressed. Apparently, he was not satisfied with resolution of his complaint, and I submit that is because he does not seek satisfaction, but wishes to nurse a grudge. If there is anything that would make him happy, short of exiling people he doesn't like, I have no idea what it is, and he has not been forthcoming with any realistic suggestion.
I have posted on several occasions, asking new posters who feel they are being made to feel uncomfortable here to contact me. The only complaints I have received are from Lance and Sandia. On the other hand, I get a constant stream of PMs asking me if there is anything I can do to stop Lance's disruption, many of them from those very newbies that he is claims he is defending. Until it is shown to me that anyone other than the current complainers are unhappy with the rules of the forum, I will maintain that this is a non-problem blown up into a controversy solely for the sake of attention getting. You speak of the support for Lance, but I don't see much support for him. Most of the posters who voice their enjoyment of his posts have said they do so not in agreement with him, but because they enjoy the entertainment value of his posts. Even Sandia has distanced himself from Lance.
The name of this forum is BDSM Talk, not Fantasy Role Play. When there have been problems between pretend players and RL BSDMers here, it has almost invariably been because the make believers have chided the RL people for not living up to their fantasy ideals. The last thing the internet needs is one more fantasy BDSM site. What is of value here, is the ability of real people to discuss real issues as they affect their real life. Rather than chase away newcomers, we ought to welcome the chance to share experiences with them. And, overwhelmingly, that's what we do. There are new entrys in the new faces thread every day. How many of them have voiced a complaint about being made unwelcome, either on the board, or privately to the Moderators? I am not hearing them, and if anyone has them, I urge them to voice them to me.
What shall we do? The only way we can make these 2 or 3 dissidents happy would be to amend the sticky to read "This board is for the support of female submissives. We encourage the abuse of newcomers and we believe that male Doms should not be troubled by having to listen to the opinions of mouthy subs." And even that would not appease the complainers. They would be back a day or two later with a new gripe.
So what would you have us do? Enforce a double standard of rules based on a poster's proclaimed orientation? Allow potentially hazardous erroneous information posted by pretenders with no real experience to stand unchallenged? Ban anyone who Lance thinks is "mouthy"?
Even were we to agree to the absurd demands of the complainers, I think you will agree with me that there is little chance Laurel would agree to creating such rules for this forum.
Until proven otherwise, I will continue to maintain that there is not a problem with the sticky, nor the conduct of the Moderators in performing their duties, and I do not support any efforts to change the way this board functions.

I made clear in my first response to you that Sandia's complaints were addressed. Apparently, he was not satisfied with resolution of his complaint, and I submit that is because he does not seek satisfaction, but wishes to nurse a grudge. James, I have no idea what you're talking about.

I don't remember lodging any complaints, much less having them addressed, or resolved.

And I certainly would not suggest - nor would I ever suggest - exiling anyone. If there's anything I've ever posted consistently on, it's that everyone has the right to post here.

I see what I have to say as my point of view - not as a complaint.

I'm stating an opinion, and my opinion is this: some folks are welcomed with open arms by the "community" here, others are quite viciously attacked.

My solution is to continue posting my own thoughts as clearly and as inoffensively as possible, but without backing down just because the mods and their friends disagree with me.

I've already satisfied myself that you can't stop me from posting my thoughts here, and I don't need the community's approval, and I'm not asking for it.

And the bigger picture is: it doesn't matter.

This is a forum. It is not a community.

Everyone is free to post here. Nobody owns this place.

Ed. to add: Except Laurel and Manu, of course. :D

See heres what I think. I dont give a shit they have that sticky or not or those rules or not.
But not one bit of this is about any of that. its about a few people want to get their way and they dont care how. They shit all over cym, they shit all over caroline now its shit on JB Time. The shitting isnt about the rules the bitching about the rules is the excuse to shit.
Dont nobody pay no fucking attention to the rules anyhow.
So why not get rid of them?
Ill tell you why. because then them same people are going to feel they got all the power to attack whoever they want and most of the people who just want to talk about BDSM are going to hit the road.
Thats my opinion and I really dont care what any of yous think about it.
