West Richland Tavern.

Tess was already on her way down the stairs in her running clothes when a man came through the door. She trotted the last 5 stairs before starting towards him.

"Can I help you?" She asked brightly.

Alexa heard voices and stopped dancing before anyone saw her. She would do a more public audition tomorrow, she just wanted to do that dance. She heard Tess's voice and made her way out to the rest of the tavern.

Raven was sitting in her room and thought she heard voices. She opened her door and heard Tess talking to someone. Raven closed her door behind her and headed down the steps.

Alexa found Raven at the bottom of the stairs and she smiled at her. "Hey, how are you?" she asked.

"Hey, you look pretty relaxed after your shower. What's going on down here? Who is that?", Raven tilts her head towards the guy near the bar.

Jack was surprised to see so many people inside given that there weren't a lot of vehicles out front. He walked in the front door wearing his normal tennis shoes, some faded jeans and a black t-shirt that was a little loose on him. At 5'11'' he was just average and in descent shape. While he didn't have a massive build he was in fairly good shape. He looked around, scanning with his blue eyes and saw a girl coming down the steps and another one dancing on a stage as he made his way to the bar.

"No clue. Perhaps a potential customer? Maybe he's on the male end of things? Hell, maybe someone from our owners past?" Alexa guessed. "He's cute, though."

He was a little surprised when he got to the bar and saw that there wasn't a person at the bar. "Excuse me," he said as he looked over at Alexa, Raven and Tess. "Is someone suppose to be working the bar tonight?" he inquired. He didn't know why the three of them look so shocked as he moved some of his brown hair away from his eyes.

Tess continued towards him, "actually we're closed today, just finished renovating," she gestured behind her to the kitchen.

She noticed how attractive he was and made an executive decision.

"Come back tomorrow and the first drink is on me, for your trouble," she smiled at him.

"My apologies. I didn't see a closed sign anywhere," he said. "What time will you open up at tomorrow?" he asked as he stood up and started to go towards the door.

"Sorry about that," she blushed, "we left the door open so people could come in and inquire about work. We open at 11 tomorrow for lunch. I'm Tess by the way, just tell the bartender I owe you one." She wondered if he'd actually come back.

"I hope he comes back tomorrow," Alexa whispered under her breath to Raven, watching the man in front of the three women.

"I'm Jack, nice to meet you, Tess." He looked around a little bit, trying to get a sense of what kind of bar this was. "What kind of work are people inquiring about? I mean, is this just a normal bar or a sports bar?" he asked. He figured he might not get a response, but he was entertaining the idea of not knowing.

''I said I'll have to wait for Hannah to sleep, then I will need Tess or one of you girls to let me in. It won't take me long I'll be in and out in ten minutes, she's going to freak when she sees what I built. Before that I told you about working in my shop, and about sleeping in my office. Rather than go upstairs to my apartment in my own bed, I don't get outdoors to get Sadie enough exercise.''
"I could walk he on my breaks? And I'll let you in. No worries." She smiled and kicked off her shoes and sat in the soft grass, her eyes closing as the sun kissed her skin. "The weather is so nice today..."
She thought about him not sleeping in his bed and frowned. "You should try to sleep in your bed at night... You'll get knots that won't rub out love .."

"Well its a bar and a pool hall with a little bit of an entertainment on the side."a sly smile split her full lips.

Alexa giggled as Tess talked to the man- Jack, his name was. She decided to be a little bold and walked over to the bar. "Hey, Tess, can you tell me where the soda is? I'm a little thirsty," she said, almost shyly, as she was 'the new girl'.

"Oh crap, I forgot I walked here. Is it alright if I use the phone and call for a cab? I'm still kind of new to the area and it's getting dark out," he said blushing a little. He tried to look away a little bit from the three girls. "I'll even pay for letting me use your phone." Jack pulled out a wad of cash from his jean pocket accidentally exposing several $100's and $50's as he stumbled to get a few dollars out.

"Yeah, it's behind the bar. Let me get it though, the gun is a little tricky." she said to Alexa without taking her eyes off Jack. She smiled as he fumbled a little and she tried not to notice the wad of cash in his wallet but couldn't help it. She was raised around the mob, and she was no dummy. It sure seemed like Jack was "in".

She took a step forward into his space, "Honey for that much money you can have more than a phone call." she teased before walking back behind the bar.

She watched him as she poured Alexa a soda and slid it to her. She grabbed the cordless phone and walked around the bar before handing it to him.

"Here you go." she said softly, his hand brushing over hers as he took it from her.

Alexa smiled as she watched Tess tease Jack, giggling when she mentioned what all he could do with that money, which she definitely noticed. Growing up in an impoverished family, the only spare money she had went to dance class and food, she enjoyed the sight of money. She watched her work, studying her.

Raven stays back and observes Jack. She had been around a lot of guys like him and would prefer to keep her distance unless she had to be close to him. This was one guy she would keep her eye on for sure. She saw the wad of money he pulled out of his pocket and just knew this was one guy she would not turn her back on at all.

Jack looked at Tess a little dumbfounded. "What do you mean I can have more than just a phone call?" he asked with a quizzical look on his face. He tried to look at Alexa while talking to Tess. His heart raced a little bit as Tess gently stroked his hand.

Tess laughed, maybe he was more innocent than he let on. Or he was on the straight and narrow.

"If I have to tell you, maybe you should keep your money until you figure it out." she gave him a seductive look. She wasn't even on the clock and she was ensnaring a man who just walked through the door, in her running clothes no less. Tess was impressed he hadn't had his eyes glued to her boobs in her sports bra. She wondered if he even realized this was a brothel.

Jack looked at Tess with extremely wide eyes. "Y-y-you don't mean that this is a s-strip club?" he asked, shocked. "Oh god, that makes more sense with her dancing, and the other girl who looks like she was giving her tips," he stated. "I'm sooo embarrassed."

Alexa giggled and walked up to Tess. If the man was flustered with Tess talking to him, she wondered what he would do, if she was there too. She noticed him staring at her, she always did.

"Hey, Tess, were you going for a run?" she asked, smiling at Jack. "If you were, would you mind showing me where the Goodwill is?" She looked at Raven and winked.

Tess' face broke into her mega watt smile, "No Jack, this is not a strip club."

She turned to Alexa, "I was, but I got hung up on Mr. Innocent here," she gestured to him and noticed he just stood there dumbfounded, trying to figure out what the hell he'd walked into. "The Goodwill is about 6 blocks north. Why don't you wait until tomorrow, we'll all go together and I have some things I want to talk with you and Raven about tonight."

She turned her full attention back to Jack. She wondered if he really needed to use the phone or if he was playing her somehow.
