West Richland Tavern.

Rex had watched two more soccer games and really enjoyed the day just relaxing but now he was hungry and was about to reach the tavern in search of some food. He pushed open the door and found Tess talking to some guy. Probably another John.

"Hey Tess, anyone else around?" Rex ignored the guy but not Tess in her sports bar. "Nice outfit! Seen Hannah? I need to talk to her about something."

Not waiting for Tess to answer Rex, head for the kitchen. He need to feed the dogs and hopefully himself.

"I appreciate you looking out for me, Tess. Is it possible I could buy an escort tonight though?" Jack blushed as he asked. "I know you're closed and all but I would be really appreciative." He slowly glanced at Raven as she went upstairs, then over at Alexa as she was helping some new guy he never saw before.

DJ smiled at the new girl, before looking around. He was almost finished setting up. "I think I'm good," he said softly, his deep, gravely voice sounding more serious than he intended it to be. He ran his hand over his face as he clicked everything on, before looking at the screen of his laptop. Once he saw everything was synced up, he smiled at the girl. "Yep, we are definitely good," he said, before selecting a song he had been working on and playing it, seeing how good the speakers were.

He was pleasantly surprised. The speakers had a decent range, and didn't shake from the bass, or squeak. He pulled up another sound bite, designed to see the total range, and smiled. These speakers would do, but they wouldn't be able to handle the full range of music. They were a little flat on the low end, and the high end faded into a piercing noise when it should have held steady.

He slowly cracked his neck and rolled his shoulders, waiting for Tess to begin this conversation. He wanted the job, but he wasn't going to be made to wait, especially when a time was already agreed upon.

"We're closed and they both just got hired today so, no." she saw him eyeing both girls but they haven't even really been orientated to how this worked. Tess really wished Hannah was here to deal with this.

Alexa smiled and nodded. "Let me know if you need anything, then," she said softly, before making her way to Tess. "Guy with laptop and doing soundchecks. Think you need to handle it," she said, before making her way back to the bar and taking a drink.

He pulled out some of his money. "Well, what about you, Tess?" he asked. "I mean the cab company won't be here for a while," Jack pointed out.

Tess felt completely overwhelmed. She was not a business owner and here she was handling everything. Ugh. Rex walked by and as usual tossed a question at her without even thinking or respecting she was in the middle of a conversation. DJ was sulking and looking disappointed and Mr. Clueless here was just...clueless!

"You can sit at that table by the door and wait for your cab. I'll see you tomorrow night okay?" she made it a rhetorical question by walking away to talk to DJ all while keeping a close eye on Alexa. That girl was a little too eager, Tess chalked it up to inexperience. she'd have to give her some friendly advice later.

Rex hadn't noticed the new girl when he came in but he stopped when he heard her voice. She was talking to pool player that had spent the night with Tess not long ago.

"hey there, I'm Rex" he moved toward her, "I work here as the waiter. What is your name, and I must say, nice body!"

Jack walked to the table near the door and caught a glimpse of Alexa nearby. He waved over to her as she was wandering around. Jack decided to be a little sly and flashed 2 $100 bills at Alexa as she looked back at him.

Alexa gave a small smirk and looked at him. "Alexa. One of the new girls, so I believe you can't touch me," she said sweetly.

Tess tried really hard not to lash out, as was her usual reaction when she was stressed but it was just too much.

"Rex, don't even think about!" she tossed over her shoulder loudly enough so he and Alexa could hear him.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, this place is a frickin' zoo today." she addressed DJ nicely, smiling softly. She really owed him for this and she knew it.

Rex caught sight of the money the guy flashed at the hot chick and turned away. He knew better than to interrupt a transaction because Hannah would cut him. And then there was Tess, who seemed to running the place right now. He headed into the kitchen and found the food for the dogs. He'd wait around until DeeDee got back and help her with the room color decision.

Alexa gave a small smirk and looked at him. "Alexa. One of the new girls, so I believe you can't touch me," she said sweetly.

"What if you touched me?" he asked. "Can you at least come keep me company while I wait?" He gave her an innocent look.

Alexa laughed and she went back over to the bar to have a drink of her soda, sighing heavily in satisfaction.

DJ smiled and chuckled softly at what Tess said. "It seems like it. You might need to handle the guy though. He's flashing cash at the new girl. If you need to, I can bounce him for you," he said, standing up and waiting to see what Tess wanted to do.

He had heard what the girl said, but he wasn't sure what the protocol was for this situation, and he knew better than to step in. He'd just follow what Tess wanted to do.

"Nevermind," he said, seeing the girl walk towards the bar. "The offer still stands to bounce him if you want him out," he said, sitting down by his equipment.

Raven went upstairs and figured she may as well put all her stuff back in her bags, Hannah will probably not hire her now. Oh well, at least she had a place to sleep for one more night. Not ready to sleep yet and not wanting to go back downstairs and piss of Tess again, Raven decided to go out the fire escape and take a walk since it was a nice night and she could see what kind of neighborhood it really was. She put on a pair of sneakers and grabbed a light sweat jacket. She went down the fire escape and started walking up the street.

Tess had heard enough.

"Alexa, upstairs now." she pointed and then turned a narrowed gaze to Jack.

"You're pushing your luck, boy. I will kick you out if I have to."

Damnit, where was Troy when she needed him!?

Alexa nodded and winked at Tess. "Will do," she said sweetly before giving a mischievous smile to the men in the room and scurrying upstairs, where she practiced dance in peace for a little bit.

Jack got up and walked out as he saw what he thought was his cab approaching. "Thank you for your time, Tess. I'll see you tomorrow," he stated. Shortly after he got out he saw the car just go straight past as he walked down the street.

DJ waited for Tess to look at him before looking at her seriously. "If you want him gone, I have no problems removing him. You can say I'm on staff and I can ask him to leave if he needs to go," he said.

"Or, if you just want to go through the job stuff, we can do that. The tests I ran told me that you'll be fine with what you have, but if you want to have access to any song, you'll need to upgrade your equipment. I have my own DJ equipment, but beyond that, your sound system should work alright for most anything you want to do," he said.

Tess audibly growled in frustration after Alexa was upstairs and Jack had gone.

"Thanks but I think his car is here, I better lock the door so we don't have a repeat of that incident." she said as she headed for the door, once it was secured she went back over to a table in front of the stage and took a seat.

"Come sit down, I'll tell you what all this is about." she sighed.

Jack noticed Raven walking down the street. He jogged up a little bit and got near her. "Hey, I don't think I got your name," Jack stated. "Aren't you suppose to be upstairs in the brothel?"

DJ nodded and followed Tess back to a table. He waited patiently, knowing it would be better to let her get it all out, so he could have all the facts, than interrupt her. He took the seat offered, before looking at her and nodding, letting her know he was ready to hear what she had in mind.

Jack noticed Raven walking down the street. He jogged up a little bit and got near her. "Hey, I don't think I got your name," Jack stated. "Aren't you suppose to be upstairs in the brothel?"

"My name is Raven and I will be where ever I want to be. Don't you have a cab to catch?"

Raven was not in the mood to deal with people tonight and hoped this guy would leave her alone. She just wanted to walk and think.

"I thought it was my cab, but I was wrong," he replied. "Did you want any company?" he asked.
