West Richland Tavern.

"I'm at a loss here. Is there a phone book so I can get a cab?" he asked. "If it's not a normal club, and not a strip club, I mean what else could there be?" he thought out loud. "Dang, this city is a lot more stranger than being out in the country," Jack stated as he waited for the phone book.

"That sounds good," Alexa said. She laughed at Jack's comment. "No, I just like to dance," she told him. "And Raven and I weren't discussing my dancing." She blushed at the fact that someone caught her dancing.

"Never been to the big city before?" Tess asked him in a sweeter than honey voice. If he was a country boy he'd be fun to mess with, most likely narrow minded, and probably thought brothels only existed in movies.

"Not very often. Maybe once or twice a year," he stated. "Well you did a fine job dancing there," Jack said to Alexa. "I'm Jack by the way," he told Alexa.

Tess smiled at him again, "This is better than a strip club. You get to actually touch the merchandise, if you want to." she hoped he caught her drift, if not he really was daft.

"Oh? What are you guys selling?" he asked with a mildly dumbfounded look. Jack started to look around to see if he could find anything. "I don't see any souvenir stands or counters," he replied to Tess.

Tess' brow furrowed, "you're messing with me aren't you? You can't possibly not know what kind of place this is."

Raven gets tired of watching the cat and mouse game. She walks up to Jack and whispers in his ear, "women, we are selling women!"

Alexa giggled and sipped her drink, wondering whether or not Tess would tell him. Even her, a country girl, knew what this place.

"Not to be disrespectful, ma'am. But I thought this was just a normal bar. Now I don't know what it is," Jack stated. "Maybe this is one of those hidden camera reality shows, is that it?" he asked as he looked at Tess then Alexa.

Jack looked shocked as Raven walked up to him and told him that they sold women. "Oh my. You mean I'm in a real life whore house?" he asked. "Then that means.." he looked around, blushing as he looked at each of the three girls.

"Bingo," Alexa teased softly, tossing her blonde hair over her shoulder. "Honestly, was it that hard to figure out? And we prefer the term 'brothel'," she added.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to offend you," he said nervously. "I never thought I'd be in a brothel."

Tess tried not to be annoyed with Raven but would have to take her aside and talk to her about what she had said.

Hannah's dad might have had a few cops in the drug task force on his payroll but there were a lot of them that would still arrest for solicitation. As far as anyone on the outside was concerned, they were waitresses who lived here. You never outright told anyone what was going on unless they figured it out first or already knew.

"I'll get you that cab number." she walked to the far end of the bar and found a phone book. She took it back to him and handed it over.

Jack opened the phone book and looked for a cab company. He could tell that Tess was displeased with what Raven said. "So I could actually pay for sex? Like right now?" he asked as he slowly looked over Alexa while flipping through the pages.

Raven saw the look Tess shot her and knew she messed up and had to fix it quick.

"You thought I was serious? I was just pulling your chain! We are just dancers!"

Raven smiles sweetly. She looks cautiously over at Tess and hopes that helps.

"No! That makes sense! I can't believe how dumb I am!" exclaimed Jack. "Now I feel really stupid," he replied as he started to dial for the taxi service.

Tess couldn't help but roll her eyes. Jack was going to be so confused by the time he left here.

"I've never been with a prostitute," he admitted. "Just out of curiosity, how much would you lovely ladies charge?" He finished dialing the number as he was waiting for it to ring.

"Girls, I need a private word with our new friend here. Wait for me upstairs." Tess narrowed her eyes at Jack.

She waited until the girls were all the way upstairs before she continued.

"We are not prostitutes, you can get one of those on a street corner. We're escorts, we charge based on what you want and how long you want it for. And we are always referred to as 'the girls'. See that sign behind the bar? Hannah Foccarilli owns this place, and if she ever heard you say whore or prostitute you'd be lucky to have your manhood when you walked out the door. Are we clear?" her voice was calm and level, she hoped it would have the effect she wanted.

DJ woke up to his alarm, before groaning. He stretched quickly, before moving to the bathroom. After quickly stripping, he stepped under the shower, before letting the now hot water loosen his muscles. He took his time washing himself, before stepping out and turning the shower off. He dried off, decided not to shave the stubble on his face, and moved to his closet.

After selecting chucks, black pants, a white button up and a vest, he added a slim black tie to complete his normal DJ look, and then stepped through his house to his office, before grabbing his equipment. He checked the time, nodding to himself and taking a deep breath as he stepped out and locked the door.

He quickly made his way to the tavern, before parking his truck and stepping down. He stepped up to the door, his equipment bouncing against his back and hip, as he pulled the door open. He immediately froze, before moving forward. He could see Tess talking to a guy, but he had no control over it, and knew he couldn't get jealous.

He stepped to the stage, watching the other two women walking up the stairs as he slowly started to unpack his equipment. He checked his watch, realizing it was 5 till 8, wondering if Tess was actually going to meet with him, or would be too busy with the new guy. He shook his head, getting rid of the bitter thought, as he started to set his equipment up, waiting for the talk that he was told would happen.

Alexa noticed another guy approach, and he looked like he had something that was similar to a dance set. She saw Tess was busy dealing with Jack, and she decided she could help out a little bit.

She walked up to the new man that had appeared. "Hi, Can I help you?" she asked softly.

"I'm not sure who Hannah Foccarilli is but I understand. I'm sorry for offending you," said Jack. "And yes, we're very crystal clear, Tess," he replied.

Tess noticed DJ come through the door with a disappointed look on his face.

"I'm just setting the ground rules for you Jack, don't want you to get in trouble where you don't wanna be. Come back tomorrow, have a drink on me and we can forget we had this conversation. Okay?"
