West Richland Tavern.

"Im Tess," she said as she took his hand in return," nice accent, Australian right?"

She dropped off the empty drinks while she was standing there next to him, leaning over the bar as she did so she could grab her water and take a sip.

"What brings you to town, Daniel?" She looked up at him with dazzling eyes and an easy smile

"Pleasure to meet you Tess and yes spot on I'm from Sydney" he returned her gaze, his own intelligent eyes recognising an intellectual peer in her's.

"Work I am afraid" - wishing he had a more exciting response - "I am here for an arbitration"

Taking another sip of his G&T "I have to say when I was dropped off outside this place I was not expecting" he gestured to the sophisticated bar "well all of this" he finished with a smile.

Tess flashed an amused smile, "most people don't, we actually just remodeled."

She looked him over quickly and teased gently,"never pegged you for a sleazy attorney. I'll be right back."

Tess picked up her drink orders and delivered them to her table that was waiting. She wrote down their dinner order and dropped it off before returning to Daniel's side.

"So how are you enjoying Richland," she asked with a sigh.

Alexa moved about on the floor. A couple more tables had filled and she was kept busy. They drank through beer like it was water. She flashed a smile at the young man drinking the gin and tonic and Tess, reminding Tess that they need to talk about the menage a trois that they were doing with Jack later, before swishing back over to one of her tables.

"Hey, I resemble that remark!" was his tongue in cheek reply as she glided away.

"To be honest I have not had a chance to really explore, this is my first "night off" in two weeks" he said registering her sigh "is everything ok? Don't feel obliged to entertain me, I am a big boy I can look after myself" he offered, looking into her bright eyes.

"Oh no, you're fine. I just have a feeling its going to be a long night. I guess since this is your first night off you should make it a good one hm?" A slow sly smile parted her full lips, her voice was smooth and seductive.

"Ahhh, I know all about long nights. I guess I should" a warm smile breaking across his face "it's off to a very good start thanks in no small part to you" not breaking eye contact.

"So tell me about this place and Richland, what is there for a weary traveller to see and do?"

"Oh this place? It's just a bar, with a little something special added. Richland can be fun depending on what you like," she touched his arm casually.

Daniel's pulse quickened slightly at Tess' touch, but only the momentary dilation of his pupils betrayed his body's response, although he thought to himself that it had been at least two weeks since he had last felt a woman's touch so if it progressed he hoped the overpriced Italian briefs he was wearing would contain his more "obvious" physiological responses...

"Something special added?" he asked slightly arching one eyebrow a bemused smile spreading across his five o'clock shadow.

"as for fun, I prefer the simpler things... sky diving, illegal boxing, you know, run of the mill type stuff"

Tess laughed easily at his humor. His accent was pretty sexy, she thought.

"Well if you stick around long enough you'll find a lot of illegal activities around here, sounds like it's right up your alley," she was teasing him, seeing how long he would play the game before he wanted more.

Rex moved along the bar filling orders and refilling others. When he came to Tess and the gentleman she was speaking with he interrupted "care for a refill sir?"

Jack had been working on his tablet for the last few hours while working on his drinks. He noted that the bar was a bit more calm and that things were running very smoothly. Jack did call Alexa over after a while.

Alexa heard Jack call her over and she sauntered over to him. "Hey hon. You needed something?" she asked sweetly.

"Why yes, dear," Jack replied coyly. "Could I get a menu please?" I haven't ate since lunch today, which wasn't much. And also some water as well."

"Sure thing, Jack," Alexa said sweetly before sauntering over to the bar and getting Jack's water and a menu. She set the menu and the glass of water down in front of him. "Want me to give you a moment to look at the options?" she asked softly.

"Yes, please," replied Jack. "Unless you have any good recommendations?" he asked with a small quizzical look on his face while he took a sip of his water.

Alexa shook her head, smiling. "Don't each much here, to be honest, hon. You need me to come back in five?"

"That'd be great," replied Jack. "Have you and Tess thought about my offer yet?" asked Jack as Alexa started to head back.

Alexa gave a soft smile. "Not yet, love," she said. "She's been bit busy, as have I. I will get to you on that, though. Or perhaps I won't?" she gave a soft laugh as she sashayed away.

She went over to the bar and reached over to get her water, wondering when she and Tess were going to talk it over. Even if the older girl hadn't done this before, Alexa would feel more comfortable once they had talked. For her, it was all in the details.

"No worries," replied Jack as Alexa started to walk away. He took a look at the menu, taking his time.

Daniel had a fair idea of what she was suggesting but he wanted to hear it nonetheless.

Leaning in closer to Tess, her perfume was intoxicating, his strong hand brushing against the porcelain smooth skin of her arm, softly speaking into her ear with his deep confident tenor "you sure know how to pique a guy's curiosity Tess. Care to elaborate?"

Tess stepped into him as he leaned in, knowing it was probably driving him crazy. His voice in her ear made her almost shudder but she felt calm. None of thr nervousness that had plagued her since the incident had returned.

She was very close to him now, she could smell his expensive cologne. Most men worse too much of it, but Daniel didn't. Tess' body was almost pressing against his, she tilted her head slightly to look up at him.

"Meet me upstairs in the lounge and I will tell you everything you want to know," her voice was sweet as honey with a dark seductive undertone.

Rex was close enough to Tess to hear her invite the customer upstairs. He'd have to pick up on her tables now so he quickly moved through the tavern clearing glasses and took them to the dishwasher and started another load.

Back at the bar he stocked the glass racks with clean glasses and found a pad of paper and pen so he could take orders.

"Tess, I'll pick up your area when you leave." Rex said. "I think Alexa and I can cover for you while you are doing him."

Tess' lips tightened as she walked to the end of the bar and motioned Rex to follow her into the kitchen.

She was livid. How could one person be so damn stupid?!

Rex watched Tess stomp into the kitchen, admiring her ass and almost forgetting to follow her. He broke his stupor and followed her.

"What's up Tess?" Rex said when he pushed through the kitchen door.

"You are a fucking idiot. I have never met anyone who has such a total lack of manners and social skills," she hissed, "what the fuck is your problem?"

She was sure her nostrils were flaring, her whole body was tense and she was pissed off.
