What are we all writing right now?

Many modern women's groups are discomfited by witch covens, because the latter often still embrace brooms and cauldrons, which the former eschew as symbols of menial labor and outdated gender roles.

Thank you - I knew that the Wizard of Oz was chauvinistic and has been perpetuating the subjugation of women across the world all this time! I'm going to go smash that VHS tape as soon as I get home.

XD I think it was only humans. I'm still not entirely sure that they weren't fairies. But they might've been witches, or a women's group of some sort.

It's a short story told from the guy's viewpoint so I didn't have to delve into it too deeply.
Genius! Once I edit this Christmas story - I can try it with a 750 word story! Didn't I see a challenge somewhere to write one from each point of view? I have one in third person. Any first person is going to submit. So second person non-submissive here I come!

I did write a story with only humans a few months ago, but even I can't be entirely sure that there was nothing supernatural going on... If we keep trying I'm sure we'll both eventually manage!

My last submission was one of those. I'm fairly sure there's something supernatural going on, but I have no real idea what it is, and the two most concrete ideas I've come up with after the fact, one supernatural and the other not, are way less upbeat than the tone of the story.

Having submitted this story, now I immediately want to write a follow-up. But it will be from the perspective of a mage in an Urban Fantasy setting, who has to track down the protagonist of the first story ("Dead Together").

The opening will probably be something like this:

The mage who trained me had a crystal ball the size of a watermelon. Wonderful for scrying, of course, but it wasn't very portable. Thanks to advances in magic and technology, my own crystal ball is little more than a marble. I project the visions onto my television, or my phone if I'm on the road.

Mostly I use it to watch my neighbour Marcus while he's showering.
After about 3000 words I came to a standstill about a week ago. But today I came back, revised what I had written and added another 1500 words. It will be a chapter, not the entire story, but I know where it is headed for now. More sex and blood!

It's more what am I rewriting. I almost like my winter holiday story. Where it's fine, I think it's actually pretty good, by my standards at least. Where it's not? That's why I'm doing a lot of rewriting. I have gotten good feedback on drafts of it from my SO and two authors here, which have been big helps and helped me see where readers don't see things as I do.

Simple romance, with some humor and some tension (hopefully at least after the rewrites). Around 30K just a tad longer than my nude day entry which was my longest non-novel.

I have gone completely off plan (again).

The backstory of what I had intended as a secondary character has taken over my head, and the first part of her past has been committed to pixels.

The last time this happened, it spawned nine stories across two series. My writing schedule is in pieces.

Hello! Newbie here so hope it's fine to just jump in.

I just saw a TV show set in Japan, so I'm starting a new story with one of my regular characters, Cedar, holidaying there.

I have literally no idea what will haplen to her when she's there yet, but she's a headstrong sort and I've no doubt it'll be an adventure worth telling.

Ordinarily we do a thorough vetting of new forum members, and for reasons I don't like to ask about, @Bazzle administers a urine test. But perhaps we can fast-track you.
Welcome!

I just (re)submitted an I/T story about two cousins. It was the first time I had a story rejected, which is kind of exciting! I had referred to the fact that I had previously published a similar story in a different format elsewhere, and the moderator didn't like that. It's a bittersweet/nostalgic first time story and I really like it.

Now working on too many other things, but the most exciting is my April Fools 2026 idea. A husband and wife try to surreptitiously support their daughter's nascent OnlyFans career, but of course things may not be as they seem.

The other promising draft I have in progress features two mature women who decide to get with the times and start sending nude mirror selfies (of them together) to their husbands.

Potentially for the cutting room floor: a Valentine's story that just isn't shaping up to be all that good, I'm afraid. The idea was a sort of harem story with the male narrator being the only male at an all-female workplace that decides to do a secret cupid. I had written a draft last year for the v-day contest before going with something else. I've totally rewritten the draft, going for a less reastic harem tone, and it still just doesn't feel right.

Trying to write my capstone story, "Happiness". I've tried coming at it from three different angles so far and can't seem to hit a groove. I know exactly what's going to happen, so that's not the issue. Or maybe it is... maybe, because I know what's going to happen, the thrill isn't quite there?

I added another 1800 words today, and this chapter is done, besides some editing. And a good hook for the next chapter too!

I just got an email from a fan who praised my work, then asked if I'd like the opportunity to write him a custom futa-dominates-man story.

I can't think he read my stories all that carefully, if that's what he thinks I'd enjoy writing. Lol.
I think I got the same one.
