What are you fuckers reading now?

Now was the time of year when a man might be thinking of the new Wexford potatoes that would be ready in June, burst out of their hidey-holes in the soil like the white heads of dolls. Your mouth could water thinking of that, and the miniature gravestones of butter laid across them.

He brewed up some tea so strong it was like the colour of hell in his cup.

No one minds life as long as they are not trying to leave it. Nor death, as long as they are not dying.

The best things in Ireland were the work of unknown hands. And oftentimes the worst crimes.

The Thin Man by Dashiell Hammett. The movie is one of my faves (the sequels, too, for the most part) and I wanted to compare it with the book.
What did you think of it? The movie characters seem perfect, do they stand up in the book?

"Hell Bent" by Leigh Berdugo. A truly awesome main character who came to life in "The Ninth House" and continues into "Hell Bent". Galaxy "Alex" Stern is the kind of character that comes to life, and then she holds your interest as she moves through both books.

Wool is moving pretty slow.

Has anyone read it?

Is it worth continuing?

Over the last week I've read these 3

Lot of fun, not as good as a Ludlum but still a lot of fun

So easy to read, amazing characters and goes from very funny to incredibly moving in such a short space, love these books
