Cool. I've just got Fragile Things out again.Neil Gaiman - Neverwhere
I enjoyed it. I have Robert Harris' Act of Oblivion in my queue after I finish Jack Carr's Only The DeadMan I'm reading a book a day at the moment!
Am now onto Fatherland by Robert Harris, never read it before and it's fuckin brilliant
Is it good? I miss hearing her on the radio, not even seen a copy of this anywhere let alone read it

Also, there is a movie of Fatherland. Made in the 90s, with Rutger Hauer.
Very good. Bleak though. Is it good? I miss hearing her on the radio, not even seen a copy of this anywhere let alone read it
Thank youVery good. Bleak though.
a good reviewVery good. Bleak though.
That’s disappointing. I really enjoyed the Amazon series (especially the character of Big Jim Rennie). I enjoyed seeing how things went from bad to worse and all the normal tribalism as a Stephen King dystopian community unfolds. Kind of reminded me of how folks formed sides in The Mist and Needful Things. I heard it’s quite the weighty tome. 800 + pages. Wow! Kudos to you to push through in a week even though it was a big ole stinky pile of steaming doo. What should have been a wonderful indulgent Belgium waffle of a tale. I was really hoping it would be an epic thing to go back and read the sacred canon from which the show sprang. Guess I won’t prioritize it.Under The Dome was the worst King book I've ever read. 800+ pages of shitwaffling nonsense.
You might like it, it's had great reviews. To be fair I skim read the last 200 or so cos I lost the will to live. Far too many characters in it I thought, and the crux of the story kinda was a damp squib over in a page. Might be me though? That’s disappointing. I was putting it right up there with the Dark Tower series. It must have had glimpses of hope at points for you to push through.
Bloody hell I'd forgotten about his existence! Never read but in the late 80s I worked with a girl who was obsessed with him. She constantly talked about his books and I constantly talked about Charles De Lint books!Piers Anthony On a Pale Horse
Read the series like 30 years ago and fancied starting run again
Recently reread a lot of David Eddings just to relive younger years. Wi turning 50 soon I've found my self getting nostalgic for series read long ago and rock biographies.
I read it back in like 84/85, start of a series I followed over the years. Was just starting my teenage years and put me onto Isacov, Arthur C Clarke and hasn't stopped since. Very influential on me and certainly highly considered in making me the reader I am.Bloody hell I'd forgotten about his existence!
