What Are You Listening to Now 7.0

Have you ever heard Cyndi Lauper singing the blues? She's pure magic.

This song's from a concept album by Rob Hyman, who co-wrote Time After Time with Cyndi. She came into the studio while heavily pregnant with her son, still aced it in one take, and what came of it is one of her greatest performances ever 🥰

It's so awesome that Sammy is going to be doing this tour, in addition to Michael Anthony playing bass - - especially after how Van Halen treated him- - and then Joe coming along to play this, because when Eddie was big, Joe didn't try to learn Eddie's riffs. So I believe this one little piece hadn't even been rehearsed... but either way you get to see two Mega-important pieces from Eddie: the Mean Streets intro, then Sammy's favorite, 5150. I can't get the song out of my head! It also just amazes me how he plays the song so close to EVH, yet adds a few of his personal signature touches!

I love Satriani. Saw him on the Surfing with the Alien tour in a 1000-seat club, with Stu Hamm on bass. Amazing show.

This tour is basically Chikenfoot Circle covers some Van Halen stuff. Going to be amazing.

Thinking was playing in a dream I had the other night. Been stuck in my head for a few days.
