I just happened across this, so this is what I'm listening to. I was going to listen to a song from her, but this caught my attention

 
More Than a Whisper: Celebrating the Music of Nanci Griffith


I found Nanci through my now-ex-wife, who liked her music. Then I did, too. We saw her together a couple times. The second time was outdoors in the evening on the pier and she'd lined up the local orchestra as her backing band. When it got too cold, they had to protect their instruments and retired. The show necessarily became more intimate. Good times.

I've actually been listening to her stuff all day. It's not bringing back memories ... more like appreciating what Nanci accomplished in her too-short underappreciated life, which this album illustrates beautifully.
 
Bruno Mars and Rosie - that's one combo I'd never ever imagined. LOL. This is just fun.
