I should have made the appointment years ago to have my daughter assessed for ADHD and ASD. Her ADHD assessment is at the end of the month. She has been excitedly telling all of her friends. It's fucking expensive though. $4500 for both assessments.

That's expensive! I was diagnosed last year and I'm pretty far into adulthood. Didn't cost thousands and the medication has helped. Fair warning, the medication sometimes makes me unnaturally horny so keep a short leash on your daughter!

Lol! Thanks for the warning. I'm not sure if the cost is partially because we're in Australia and we have a drastic shortage of psychologists. I'm contemplating getting assessed (have been contemplating for about 15 years) and I would be about $2500 to assess. Not keen on spending that much on me.

Show them that taking care of yourself is just as important as taking care of others. They need to grow up believing it and in order for that to happen, they have to see it.
