I'm thinking the opposite. I'm fed up with making postings that are intended to be positive, thoughtful and supportive only to be ignored in favour of "popular" Litsters who elicit Pavlovian slavering from their army of fans just by saying "boobies" (or something similarly inane).

I know that I'm never going to be one of the "cool kids", but I need a bit of acknowledgement to make it worth my effort. Alternatively, if I'm really not appreciated, then I'm wasting my time anyway.

First of all Mindfondler, I have read your past history of posts and I have found that you have a lot of people who respect you...they have agreed , or supported you with a lot of positivity...maybe you should re-read your posts because you are a very well liked gent on here....

As far as you feeling as tho you are not one of the "cool kids"...
here is my view....and thoughts that I remind myself from time to time.

I like Lit a lot...I enjoy it...and I am like you...I like to be positive, thoughtful and supportive as well, not just on Lit, but offline too..

When I make a comment or take the time to express my thoughts with a long post it's because I want to...nothing else...if someone responds great..if not , no worries......but I don't feel it has been a waste of time....

I am sure you have a close circle of friends on Lit , even if it just one person that you message with on a consistent basis...THAT's what counts...

yeah, of course there will always be comments on " boobies" etc..after all we ARE on a , ahem " sex" site...I figure, it is a designated forum where everyone should feel free to banter, flirt,and even be risque ...for me tho , personally speaking , I prefer more substantial interactions, which I have a feeling you do too, based upon your profile, your posts etc...

so..keep on posting...don't change your " style" just to be " cool"
