I may not be the sharpest tool in shed, but I can attest that I think with my actual head more than 50% of the time. What did you expect on a site like this, a man who quotes Shakespeare, writes sonnets and plays the fucking lute? And I submit to you, they are here, but you pass them by because they won't climb the ladder for you. They fear you because they don't understand what you want.

I think about all the members of Lit I've met over the years, and I wonder how a lot of you ended up here. I came for the stories back in 1999, around January. Back when you could read all the new stories in a single night.

The forums were almost an afterthought for a lot of people. Now the forums are huge, and the topics are vast. Some people are here to read, others are here to post their writing, and I guess many are here looking for friendship and a sense of community.

I'm here more from reading, which turned into writing, and now I'm here in the playground, having fun. This site has given me quite a bit over the years, and I hope everyone appreciates the site for what it offers all of us.
