Man, that stinks. I work professionally with military and vets with suicide prevention, and it pains me every time I hear about losing one of ours.

For what it’s worth, he either could have genuinely been doing better and just hit a bad spot, or was doing his best to hide he wasn’t improving. I’ve seen both more than I care to.

I'm thinking about a friend of mine - JT - who I just found out, took his own life on Sunday. I haven't spoken to him properly for a while and now I never shall again.

I'll miss his insistence that Newcastle United would win the Premier League and European Cup. I'll miss his talent for crashing every vehicle on Battlefield 4. Most of all, I'll just miss his incredibly kind nature.

He came back from war with PTSD. I'd say he came home but I don't think he ever did. Not really.
