Today, my first viewing of three movies:
Finished up Unit 234, a serviceable action thriller starring Isabelle Fuhrman, with a very able assist by Don Johnson. In spite of the ridiculous premise - the kind where you ask "This was your plan? Really" it plays okay for a B-movie.
Next up, a pair of marvels:
Baby Assassins 2: I love this franchise! It effortlessly weaves the two young girl assassins and their gleefully goofy juvenile (they're 18 in this 1st sequel) predilections with inventive action, both hand-to-hand and gunfighting, with a story that has a strong heart at it's core. Excellent and mesmerizing. I didn't even mind reading subtitles.
Next, Baby Assassins 3, which was even better than 2. Everything I said about 2 counts double here. Just fucking awesome.
BA #1 was not available without a fucking separate subscription. I'm not going there - it'll be free with my other subscriptions at some point.
