Finally finished up the train-wreck of HBO's season 4 of True Detective.
BORING!
They string us along with tidbits about solving the crime, but the show is all about the interpersonal relationships of the people in this small Alaskan town, with a little indignation at how the native population is treated.
While that may be well and good in another series, they diffuse the detective work to the point that you constantly have to figure out where you are. Inept and unsatisfying. As the lead, I'm surprised that veteran Jodie Foster hasn't learned how to choose better, more competent stories than this.
