I've read that Book 8 is when things start becoming a bit of a slog/slow. If the books are interesting, I can knock out about 200 pages a day. It's easier when it's a genre I'm familiar with as well (and high fantasy is my jam), since a lot of the tropes and world building are familiar to me.

I personally never found the series getting slow or dull at any point.

I'm reading "Why Civil Resistance Works" by Chenowith and Stephan because, well, because the other side has all the guns.
Its not very long, but its a slow slog because it is so academicky. (Is that a word? If not, it should be. The meaning is clear.)
When I'm done with that, I have to read something fun.
